I've heard the wheels are already in motion.

Slight shoulder problem but he should be right in a couple of weeks.

Re: Last years recruiting

Agree , but really think Lovett plays we win. I think there's every chance that if Lovett plays, he does nothing. For every big game he turned in a good performance there were three that he'd turn out the lights and just float. A lot of those games were the fierce contests, which at least GF1 was. ...

Re: Guess when we will win our second flag.

No, not the nab cup, the real deal. 2020 for me, after this lot are done and dusted, and we've had a full rebuild. 2018. I agree though, don't think we'll win one with this side. As good as our core is, I think we're unfortunate in that they don't have the mentality to get it done when it matters m...

Dale Thomas a little too high at 9 for now. James Kelly at 20. Brady Rawlings at 22. All of the above higher than Pavlich. Kieran Jack at 30 after, what, 4 good games? Richard Douglas at 37, higher than Mitchell, Griffen, S.Johnson. http://www.threadbombing.com/data/media/2/Rachel_Riley_GTFO.gif

More moves than our forward line.
She's pretty good, I enjoyed that.

More entertaining than our game plan.

Come on Aussies, g'wan and batter dem fookin' Oirish loike.

edit: Chris Johnson has to be one of the hardest and nastiest pieces of work I've ever seen on a footy field.

Great footballer.

Since 1897 more like it. When you think about it, being around since the VFL's inception aswe have, I reckon it would be more difficult to only have the one flag than it would be to have at least five flags. Can you just imagine the long list of bad decisions the club has made since 1897. It would b...

All the ability in the world but he just doesn't work hard enough. When the going gets tough, he completely disappears.

Not what we need.

Would seem a really desperate pick-up IMO.

Probably in the AFL's top three easiest players to tag list, just behind Danyle Pearce.

Who gives a stuff about footy?

Not I.

I'm so disenchanted with the game right now.

Obviously it would've been so different had it gone our way last weekend but now, I'm stuck here reading boring footy related thread after footy related thread and posting out of habit.

It all feels so meaningless.

I think we have more than enough players with horrible kicking skills as it is... Where are you getting that. By all reports, he is a skillful player. Hard nut but woeful skill from what I've seen. Horrendous. Just this season gone past I remember watching him thinking, "can't believe they gav...

Had a friend ring me today from a Melbourne hospital to say he saw Kosi & CJ checking in too. CJ's foot fair enough. But what was Kosi's problems? Or is his annual hospital visit?? ha, ha but seriously it might be the ribs? i wish the club would tell us about injuries, rather then keep it to th...

I'm still for the replay, unique part of our unique game. Extra time means you are finding the best team in 10 minutes of football. Another game means you are finding the best side over an entire match. If we were good enough, we would have backed up the following week. Another week is more physica...

Ricky Dyson, Urquhart, Stanton I would be interested in apart from the obvious ones. Stanton has plenty of upside (beautiful right foot) but soft. Though, so was Farren Ray until Roo and the boys had a chat to him. Dyson is relatively young, nice left foot. Urquhart I was impressed with when I last ...

Re: Simplicist answer just like his coaching !

I have always believed Ross LYON is afraid to dare to win and his whole coaching philosophy revolves around this. I think Ross is so meticulous in his preparation and so mechanical in his approach to it that he must leave little room for the human, more emotional side of the game. Everything is cal...

Beej, thanks for trying to explain in. I don't actually have an issue with him leaving if his pay was cut in his new contract, it's not ideal, but it happens. The money he was on before was crazy money though, way over the top. Why can't he just admit it this was a motivating factor? I just get ann...

We wanted Goldsack and pick 30. They offered Wellingham and pick 60-something. We refused as we said we wouldn't use the pick. End of story. Wellingham would've been a fantastic addition in hindsight. I guess at the time though we had Andrew Lovett lined up so I can see why we didn't go for that. W...

The loss was worse due to the scoreline but, personally, if we're going to lose a GF I'd prefer it to be over by 3/4 time. IMO the heartbreak and shock of losing last year's GF in the dying stages hurt more than this year because it came out of nowhere whereas this time I had time to come to terms w...
