Re: Was this our best win for the year?
I'd say as far as work rate and will to win, yes it was one of our better wins this year. Reality is, if we'd kicked those early ones GWS wouldn't have been in it for so long and we may have taken the wind out of their sails alot earlier. Our misfiring goal kicking was the only thing keeping them in...

Re: Karl Amon
Was very good last 2 season's. Part of the reason Port was so good. The whole team stinks this year so wouldn't be putting too much into current form. Quick, great skills and only 26 years old. If we are going to contend in the next year or two he's in the perfect bracket for us. Its a yes from me!

Re: Sinclair is an A-Grader
Good post, although I think we can start talking about Sinclair in the elite bracket. He's gone past A grade. Smartest player in the team with the skills to match and he's playing at a high level consistently. Thats what the elites do. Amazing how it happened and yes he's gone past Billings in value...

Re: We will demolish Greater Western Sydney on every line....
I'm quietly confident about this game. Would have been nice if TG was out for another week as he usually comes back well but I've got a sneaking suspicion that the coach has lost the players. 9 years and no flag, with that list, is indefensible. They should have had 2 by now. His contract is up and ...

Re: The kid can play.
I think it was Dermie who said " If you get 1player in a draft that becomes regular 22, you've done well that draft. Looks like we have 2 already and will only be a matter of time before Owens is back in the team. We've made off like bandits in the last draft. It's the sort of draft that fast t...

Re: Changes v Suns
You'd think Highmore comes in for Webster. Higgins in for one of the kids. NVM most likely to give Windy a run at it. NVM unllucky but its early days. Long stays in for mine. His pressure has been excellent and more importantly, disciplined. Hayes for Paddy. Geez I hope we can keep Witts honest. He'...

Re: Saints fit and putting team first
Play Hill anywhere....gun Exactly. And why we wouldnt come out and say Hill will stay permanent forward. We know hes got the ability to do that, so why tell other teams your plans!? He may start back, he may start forward. It means the opposition are worrying about him and not their own gameplan. H...

Re: Changes v Suns
Think Long will stay in and one of the kids will be dropped. Neither deserve to be but we'll want Longs pressure, mature body around the contest. Hayes comes in for sure. Ruck is our main concern against Suns. Their midfield is class and Witts is one of the best rucks in the comp. He leads hitouts A...

Re: Ongoing team selection
IMO Jones and Billings come straight back in for NVM and Windy. Billings to HBF, Hill stays forward. Jones needed in the guts. Centre clearances still a concern for mine. He makes a big difference with speed and grunt work. Wouldn't mind giving Clark a run in the 2s just to get his form and fitness ...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Hawks Round 4 2022
Fantastic win. When's the last time we torched a team like that? Fantastic attacking footy but defended well when we had too. Still have Jones, Billings and Clark to come in. Ratts has figured out a few players best postions and team is working hard for one another. Jack Sinclair is going past A gra...

Crystal balling a bit here but a win tomorrow really sets up our season. We have GC, GWS and Port after. We'd have to be favourites at this stage in all 3. Then Melb, Adelaide, Cats and North before the bye. I have us 8-3 by the bye!! A win against either Melb or Cats and we're gold!! History says t...

Re: Sinclair Underrated
Interesting interview with Ratts on AFL 360 where he highlighted Crouch, Gresh, Steele and Ross as the mid-field's influence on the game. When Robbo brought up that he left out Sinclair, Ratts tried almost to downplay and divert his influence and participation in the mid-field. Maybe it suits them ...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 3 2022
DE 80 to 70. League average is 75. We're lucky the scoreboard isn't alot worse. We don't pull our thumbs out of our butt the floodgates will open in the 3rd. We have too many average players. We need to start rotating the kids through and find the ones that can play. We're not going anywhere with pl...

Our skills are just woeful. What the hell do they do at training each week? It's just not good enough. Our disposal efficiency is terrible.

Sick of the Hannerbery crap. Lets get onto the the good news Daniel Yep McKenzie is a beast. Kudos for a guy so many, including myself, had written off as another member of 0-50 games of nothingness club and eventually waived off into the AFL oblivion. He's starting to put together a level of consis...

Re: Jack Hayes to .........
I think Hayes and Marshell could alternate FF. King needs to be on the arc coming in. Stops teams double teaming him. He kicks better at a distance also. Get a the yips 20m out. If Ryder is rucking, Marshall forward, Hayes could be in the middle. When Marshall in the ruck, Hayes goes forward. Nurse ...

Re: Sinclair into the middle
No brainer Sincs is our only other elite player besides Steele. You play your best players where they're going to get the ball and use it to best effect. Our midfield is crying out for class and Sincs has it in spades Plenty of other options for HBF As others already stated . Billings and Clark on t...

Re: Does the Mitchell-led Hawks’ success change Clarko’s Market Value?
Ok. So I can say I've spoken directly to a current Hawks player about the Clarko situation, as he's a client of mine, and no one was sad to see the back of Clarko. From the AC to the players, everyone felt he was not interested the last few years and it was effecting the moral of the whole place. Sa...

If the selectors are so hell bent on playing 3 small forwards then that 3rd small is Gresham. Not Kent.

Re: Has Cartlon Gone Past Us ?
Their midfield has better players. Cripps (when fit) and Walsh are Superstars. Cerra is going to be a gun. We have Steele Daylight B graders. Ross I'm being a bit harsh Jones and Gresh are A grade when on song (and on the park) Hopefully Owens and Byrnes can bring something to the table. Ill take ou...

Most folks don't have Collingwood making the 8 so we need to be beating these teams if we're serious about finals this year. Collingwood Hawks North GCS Adelaide Must be beating these teams. No excuses. Sydney Blues Freo Bombers Giants Our "there abouts" teams and our biggest competition f...

How good is it we have pressure for spots again!? With new recruits looking good already and emerging players like Byrnes, Bytel, Sharman and Connelly we won't have players getting games on reputation alone. This is the quickest way a team improves is when players know they're not going to just be g...
