Yes. I thought he had quite a few bright moments on Saturday. When he got near the ball he seemed intent on staying there with good 2nd efforts.

Re: Markworth - Serious Shoulder Injury

I'd be very suprised if he do doesnt play footy again this year even after a full shoulder reco. The shoulder usually comes back tighter after a reco so requires a massive amount of physio to get the flexibility and strength back. He can still keep a fitness base on the bike and walking initially ,...

Re: We need to embrace New Zealand.

Hope is being restored for the Saints faithful. But we need to utilise the AFL's desire for AFL in NZ.As you stated KiwiKick has grown from 5k to over 30k in the past couple of years. Look at the opportunity that we are getting first hand at those big islanders and Maori. The International rookie t...

Re: Is The Pelican Weird Or What?

We are not in any position to pick another Brad Howard tho, so our recruiters had to be as thorough as possible to avoid a player bombing out, we could ill afford that!

Re: Angry nick

I for one really enjoyed watching the best of the best playing together. Very enjoyable. I went and really enjoyed the game but one thing I was very conscious of was that this was a fair dinkum Aussie side. Lots of very good players playing which is a lot different to what has happened with our sid...

Re: Jeremy Taylor

Last years AFL prospectus gives him a fair old whack. " Taylor was a poor ball winner for a general defender while also recording the lowest kick to handball ratio of any player at the club. He also averaged the fewest meters gained per game of any defender in the AFL..." Maybe lo...

Re: Surely Caro gotta be joking ..?

I'm loathe to comment on any thing to do with the case as I think I'm biased because of the way I have rated Milne the player. I think he's probably served a harsher penalty than most alleged perpetrators of similar actions have especially when guys like a chef who broke into a womans' apartment an...

Re: Chris Pelchen - The aftermath

I also heard the interview today and I couldn't disagree with him anymore when he said we were in a similar position to the Hawks in 2004. Maybe we will be at the end of next year or even the year after but we are no where near the rebuilding stage of the Hawks in 2004. Not even close. Completely u...

Re: GWS now have 4, 6, 7 to trade for pick 1

If more players have to be delisted to hasten the influx of talented kids into the club then so be it. I trust that Pelchen etc are working with the best of intentions.

Stuffed if I want us to be propping up the ladder for any more time than is absolutely necessary.

Re: Could we do pick 22 and 41 for 17 and Membrey?

First impression is that would be pretty appealing and seemingly something Sydney could well be interested in. I wonder if having a fourth pick, 41, might enable us to target someone such as Daniel though who might be worth a risk but not with too high a pick?

I like Armo and don't want to see him go, but if we could get pick 11 the club would be mad not to give it very serious consideration.

From the few games he has played I reckon his upside looks promising. I hope he works so hard that he demands the opportunity to show it in more games.

Re: KB's rant againts the Saints.

Letting Dal go was a massive lost No it wasn't. Like most? Of us I was sad to see him go but we just have to move on. Our path was largely set after the lost draft years, we just didn't have the players to have a minimalist rebuild, we had to go the whole hog, that takes time and is horribly painfu...

Delaney has been our recruit of the year for mine. Has simply slotted in and many must be wondering why he couldn't get a decent run at his old club! Agree. And, just to take this off track for a moment, I wonder what his brother is up to? I haven't taken much notice of norf but I don't recall seei...

I despise this concept of "leaving for a flag"… I'm talking to you Brian Lake… Paid mega-bucks by a poor side for a decade and then only going half-paced when they were out of contention… Jumps ship for some faux-glory, suddenly lose weight and start trying again - Get f'd. Imagine if thi...

I just watched that first half again, still can't quite understand that sub… I thought Lee was having a dip, looked a little cooked for fitness, but really didn't get a single decent delivery… had his run taken off the ball a few times by Lonergan & Taylor who are pretty handy backmen. By the t...
