What message does it send when somebody as couragous as Jones is dropped and somebody as soft as Fiora stays in?

Very poor selection decision.

Even Charlie deserves a game ahead of Fiora based on recent form.

It's great that we had so many great leaders to pick from, unlike Collingwood who were considering the likes of Fraser and Maxwell, and Carlton who have a skipper who's never played a premiership match for them!

Even if it's not announced this week, it's probably fair to say whoever is captain on Saturday night is likely to be skipper for the season. I can't see us having a temporary captain possibly holding up some silverware. That's providing both Riewoldt and Hayes play on Saturday night. Mind you, havin...

It was right infront of me. Looked like he got him in the upper chest and throat, but could have slipped up to the chin.

The Essendon player seemed to get straight up though.

Interesting to note also that three players who's positions in the best 22 are threatened, Blake, Milne & Fiora, have played every game since Ross Lyon has been at St.Kilda, including all pre-season games. The only other player to have done that is Nick Dal Santo.

I don't think we've ever received our memberships earlier than mid February before? A few years ago I didn't receive mine 'til after round one.

And if you think waiting for memberships is bad, i bought Grand Prix tickets in August and still haven't received them!

Interesting to see so many saints fans writing off Connors only minutes after he has become a saint. I can see why most are concerned about his height and weight given that he will be required to play centre half back in round 1 2008. It's quite obvious the kid is a long term prospect, and it...

Very good news to finally have at least one new sponsor on board. I doubt Corinthian will be our 'major' sponsor, as Bill Express was, but I'd say their logo will be on the back of our jumper. Banger has missed 87 games though various injuries over his 20 year career. Michael Tuck missed under 30 though injury.

Had Harvs missed under 30 he would be currently around 415 games!

Leadership Group - Who steps up?

With the retirements of Gehrig and Hamill, who, if anyone, do you think should step up into the leadership group to replace them? The current group is Hayes, Ball, Riewoldt, Koschitzke, Harvey & Dal Santo. I would go for Goddard and Hudghton. Both have good leadership qualities, Goddard is a fut...
