He will be elite.
Im not giving him grief. I agree that he will develop into a very good midfielder... However, with the tools he has, he could become one of the most damaging small forwards in the game.

Gresh - Forward or Mid?

Just wondering what everyone thinks about Gresham’s shift to the middle this year, and if it’s something you’d like to see the club persist with, or move him back down forward? I think he certainly has the attributes to be effective as a midfielder. He’s quick and evasive, hard to tackle… However, h...

Never averaged more than 20 disps in a season

Kicked 20 goals once.

Doesn’t provide much other than the fact that he was taken in the mini draft

Re: Jimmy Webster - Anyone Else Concerned???

He’s a much better player than Coffield atm Savage and Geary are walk up starts in back 6 Savage and Webster being walk ups are why we suck. We need to find a guy who cracks in as hard as Webster, but can kick. We need to find a bloke that is harder in the contest than Savage, and can use it just a...

Re: Caro on Ben King

I actually think Ben King will cost more at the end of next year! Totally agree. Aside from being Max’s brother and a former top 10 pick. Ben has already shown elite potential in a handful of games. People arguing that we shouldn’t trade for him now, or that a first and a player is too much to trad...

Re: Membrey accuracy

You won't get very far here bringing facts and data. Don't you know it's just the vibe of the thing? I'll stand corrected on his accuracy but I do reckon in the last few weeks he has scored quite a few from beating his opponent close to the goal square and this may be due a slightly changed forward...

Re: Caro on Ben King

There is a perception that Carlisle is a gun, there is also a reality. We don’t need an intercept marking loose man down back, we need a good Key Defender, who can compete with gun forwards, which he is not. Gets out bodied by much smaller opponents... then cracks the sads... then gives away free k...

Re: Membrey accuracy

By the way, I reckon a lot of Membrey's goals this year have been from on or near the goal square. I don't have a lot of confidence in his set shots. Not sure that's a fair assessment. Only 20% of his shots in 2019 have been from or around the goalsquare. This also shows how dangerous he is inside ...

Caro on Ben King

Watched Footy Classified last night and saw Caro bring up the possibility of Bing wanted out this year. Very interesting to look at Lloyd's reaction and how quickly he tries to avoid eye contact. Here's a clip from twitter ICYMI https://twitter.com/Jakedossor/status/1161072980182462466?s=20 Interest...

With out lack of ruck stocks, he's our most precious commodity right now.
We can't play finals.
Don't risk him, put him in cotton wool for the year.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Dockers Round 21 2019

That Battle mark at the end was incredible.

Was basically in the contest when it was kicked, then sprinted 20-25m back with the flight at full tilt to take the grab.

Haven't found a video of it yet, but it's outstanding work from the young man.

Re: Steven Hanners in

I wonder whats up with Battle? Started on the bench last week then it looked like he was playing a wing type role. Named on the bench again this week, Newnes straight onto a back flank. Before his injury, he was easily one of our biggest improvers this year. I wonder if Ratts sees him differently to...

agree with mr smith. but that awareness will come with gametime. sure the coaches will talk to him about his game, but best way to learn is out on the field finding your limits. he's coming along very nicely. coffield too looks to be gaining confidence. We shouldn't be putting any limits on him. If...

Would be on very little coin.

With the amount of potential outs we have at the end of the year. Signing a guy who has some decent attributes for three years on very little money basically as an insurance/depth policy isn’t a bad decision imo

Now we all love Hunter and what he is going to be however I felt last night he might have been listening to too much hype talk. Isn’t a keeper. Playing like he did in his final season with the Dons.

To the right club in need of bigs - Bulldogs for example. He is worth at least a first.
