Re: Does it matter to you whether we win or lose this weekend against Sydney
Don’t get me wrong, I want the Saints to win every time we run out.....however.... The problem we face is that if we win and North and Freo lose (vs Melb and Port respectively), we’ll finish 12th which moves us into the middle band of teams for next year’s fixtures. I wouldn’t mind a nice easy run n...

Re: Lessons from the Blues
Boys looked like they were hanging out for a few weeks in Bali. Billings even let it slip on this weeks podcast, that he was “looking forward to the end of the year” before Gears picked him up on it.

Blues fans will be up and about with Teague being appointed this week. They'll fancy their chances.
I reckon 43,000 if the weather holds up (which it looks like it should).

Re: Jack coy on future
I don’t think our objections and disgust about Geelong and Scarlett will have any value in Jacks scheme of thinking. Geography, family, new club, new start, playing with legends like Selwood, Ablett, Danger, Duncan and co. will. Maybe not, but Jack's contracted, so it's not only his decision here. ...

Re: Urgent message to Mr Ross Lyon
He’s in a familiar spot.
The only time Freo were in the contest today was when Mundy, Fyfe and Sandi had their hands on the footy. Cupboard looked pretty bare after that. Those guys are closer to the end than the start, he’ll bail soon enough and Freo will be irrelevant for another decade.

Re: AFL PA U22 team of the year - 1 Saint
Clark is very stiff to miss this squad, I'd have him over a fair few of the small defenders or mids ( I mean, Smith from the Dogs, and Fritsch from the Dees, are they serious??) These are popularity contests, and unfotunately, if you're at the Saints, you get forgotten a bit for these sort of things...

Re: List for 2020
I'm not sure what the deal is with our supplementary picks (Rowe, Marsh & Mayo)??? I'd only keep Marsh at this stage, not sure Mayo is good enough and Rowe was only ever here for 1 year. Longer, Pierce, Armo, White, Rice will not be on our list in 2020. Jack Steven will get traded. Newnes would ...

Stephen Hill isn’t pushing anyone out of our back 6. Imagine this place when the 2020 Round 1 team is announced and S. Hill is on a half back flank and Coffield is at Sandy?

Re: Insights into the mind of ‘cho’
It’s more an indictment on Richardson for be8ng so blinkered into black balling any trade There is NO WAY KNOWN the club could have traded our best player, with 2 years to run on a very lucrative contract, at the end of last season after the year we had. We would have grabbed our pitchforks and tor...

How does Ratten possibly stay on if he misses out of the top job?? Especially considering how public he has been is his want for the position.

My take is much more like St Sandy saw things.
Compare this interview to Scott Watters' interview that came out last week and decide who was better for our club?? There's a guy who's deluded, and left our club in a shambles....

Re: Match Thread Saints v Crows Round 20 2019
Most infuriating thing all night was the big grin on McKenzie’s face as he’s shaking hands after the game - caught it in the background before they interviewed Tex.
Bloke should be in tears after the shift he’s just put in. His 3 year deal is nothing more than stockpiling players for Sandy....

Re: Should we draft more top up players like last year?
The state leagues have been mined of nearly all of their talent. Between a shallow national draft last year, and the changed rules with injury replacements and the mid year draft, there's not too many diamonds in the rough left.

3. Team selection- where Newnes keeps getting picked, while Mr “close” Hanneberry can’t even make it to VFL. And Parker gets dropped. Newnes did a job on Johanniessen last week and did it superbly. Was never going to be dropped this week. Parker was deservedly dropped 2 weeks ago - and didn't play ...
