This is where we are at unfortunately. Out of a squad of 40 the players association could only find room for one Sainter - Jade Gresham. Begs the question. Do we overate our youngsters? Sadly we have been able to pick the eyes out of the draft the last few years and the reality is we have failed. Guys either haven't come on or are injured.

Clark is very stiff to miss this squad, I'd have him over a fair few of the small defenders or mids ( I mean, Smith from the Dogs, and Fritsch from the Dees, are they serious??)

These are popularity contests, and unfotunately, if you're at the Saints, you get forgotten a bit for these sort of things.

We have a number of exciting youngsters who have impressed this year, but they simply haven't played enough footy to crack into a squad like this.

Gresham has played 81 games.

Battle 23 games
Paton 14 games

I'd expect a few of them to feature next year if their 2019 form continues.
