Before Watters the problem was no-one liked Lyon and all the assistants were leaving.
The finances are made public each year. I doubt it will be pretty this year , but neither do we need to make profits to distribute dividends.
There is some evidence that Watters has given some jobs to his mates, but surely that has to be cleared by the likes of Pelchen.

i would suggest that Watters like all coaches would give jobs as assistant coaches to people he knows and who he can work with.
I thought the caller meant on the Board

Netters can spin like a spider but it's all spin.
Can you name a club with a good reputation?
Swans. I cant remember the Dockers doing much wrong?
but check where they are and the media focus in those areas.
Yes swnas supposedly have a' great program' But I wonder if a look at the player who leave after only a couple of years, etc etc.I am not excusing the saints but it would/ could be happening...
You wonder if someone did a study of an incident- with a triall of the same incident happening at 2 differant clubs- and how it is reported at each.
both something good and something doubtfull.

re the caller-- Intersting that he baggee out every section of the club- pl;ayers, board and admin- But has continued to be there for 40 years--- obviously no so disgusted that he didn't find anopther club to support or work for.

Can someone explain to my, how exactly did CJ put fire to the dwarf. Did he walk up to him, flicked his lighter and proceeded to set fire to his clothes – I mean totally, intentionally on purpose, just to see the dwarf burn and get hurt??

St Kilda is lumbered with a reputation of being a reckless lot of party boys with no governance or controls. Most of this is historical baggage from pre 1990's but whenever a new incident occurs, everyone in the media says that same thing .. same old St Kilda
St Kilda is competing in a very crowded marketplace. We fight for sponsorship dollars .. and when you look at St Kildas reputation it makes it very difficult to attract high profile sponsors. This dramatically impacts the amount of money we can spend ,. which in turn makes it harder to maintain on field performance and the ability to retain or attract established players, which then impacts memberships and so it can easily spiral out of control. Melbourne is a case in point - and I would argue that they have a bigger membership/supporter base to fall back on.
We need to set a new standard off field for governance and remain the high water mark if we have any chance of turning this club into a genuine powerhouse.
Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.

If he didn't do what he did we wouldn't be talking about it.
He is just well below average intelligence.
Probably not far off disabled himself.
That's the spirit, charming.
Not just slamming a Saints player (not for the first time) you most likely don't know, but offensive - and somewhat disrespectful to the disabled folk themselves.

Big money clubs have well-organised media systems and hire the best- that's how they keep their dirt out of the media. I think our club needs to direct more of its budget into media management.
Caro on aw tonight reckons the saints have an ongoing cultural problem , she says they always have themselves embroiled in some sort of issue.
what she didn't say was the media report all incidents , usually fairly , but go to town when it's the saints because they are the media's whipping boy.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
