Hard to leave out Crouch but the q4 brain fade nearly killed me. Wilkie and DMac also excellent.

I’m absolutely mystified that we dropped Battle this week. He was good last week. Surely there is more to it?

Thought they all brought something similar - heart and guts. We need that every week.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 15 2021
Long needs to stop fumbling. We get called back on the mark 3 metres but they never do. Apparently toe poking now equals kicking in danger but when they do it, play on. Has there been another team in the AFL that has kicking in danger paid against them in the last 5 years, or just us....every game?...

Re: Does Kingy Even Like Playing
Some pretty awful comments on here. He's a young guy playing a really hard position and his skinny body is getting smashed each week. Some people just expect players to become a superstar in the blink of an eye. His kicking for goal has been woeful, like Billings in his first couple of seasons, but...

Re: Claverino to debut
I thought he showed promise. And he won’t show anything else unless he gets games at AFL level. I’ll give him a B on debut. Would have been B+ but he gave away a couple.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Suns Round 8 2021
Webster's decision making hurts a side. No wonder his opponent can confidently run one way. Rubbish at the start of the 3rd quarter he was excellent sitting us up and he at least has some energy Watch the replay, his turnovers by foot exposed us badly. Yes, he can do some excellent stuff and plays ...

I’ll take a win any way we can get it. Paddy and Crouch goals were enormous.

Re: Brad Hill - rebounding back
He was tremendous. And whilst I love seeing him turn on the afterburners out of the middle, those smothers and defensive acts were inspiring.
Was confidence inspiring with ball in hand last night - did not miss a target and did not look like missing a target.
Kudos.

Ball use and decision making so much better the last few weeks. Loving the running goals and goal attempts.
Seems to have more confidence.
Will always hold my breath when he goes to kick on the wing but he’s a good player and consistent contributor.

Re: The 2 mids who hold our season in their hands
Loving JB off half back/around the wing. He covered a huge amount of ground last night and is so much tougher now than we probably give him credit for. Gets to and influences a surprising number of contests for a smaller guy. I feel confident with him ball in hand running up the wing; less confident...

Re: Josh Battle - Where’s he at?
Even though he didn’t star last night he was a real presence, and I like him so much more up forward. He’s got decent pace for a bloke his size. It will take a while now that Paddy and Roma are back to get that wing/half forward structure right.

Re: Tony74 commented (heading updated)
His last post was just after the WCE game, when he quoted himself saying 'they're hurting...they'll give a great effort...' Then he said after the game 'the proof is in the pudding'. I wonder if he'll announce that the boys are hurting (again) Mate- We/They are shattered. But don’t ever ever think ...

Re: One positive for the week!
Ryan BYRNES is back and named to play for Sandringham in their 1st game of the year. One little glimmer of positivity after last nights debacle. The other positive last night was Nick Coffield getting back into some sort of form which was very pleasing! Happy to see Byrnes back and good to see Coff...

Re: One positive for the week!
Can I suggest another: Saints have a top class administration and an excellent coach, record membership. We have been crucified by injuries and that has had a snowball of shite effect. Injured players and Paddy R can mostly return (there is one glaring weakness to that rule). Lethlean and Gags will...
