He tried his guts out as always but shanked everything....when he runs into goal from 25m he ALWAYS misses...you can put your house on it. Love #7 but was ordinary tonight....still think he's carrying an injury, likewise Dal Santo - or the tonsillitis is effecting him or he's not happy there at the ...

Birss and Armo should have played tonight ahead of Geary and Fiora...it was always going to be hard ball tonight and we had a team of receivers.

Blake played on Cloke for first half, then Dumpster....oh and Gwilt had a go too. Any clue as to why neither max nor Fisher was given a go? Luckily he kicked 1.4...could have wrapped it up by 3Q time. It took til th last q to play Goddard at HFF where he belongs, Gwilt should never be let near the b...

Jack Steven....something about his deft touches in the preseason comp gave me a very good feeling about this kid.
Wouldn't be surprised if he sneaks in for a game before the end of the year...maybe he'll get Harvs jumoper and move up a locker in 2009!

reckon we'll lose 2 of next 4...Freo will beat us over there and 1 of Coll, Ess or Crows will beat us
We'll finish where we are 7th...we'll win the first final vs Kangaroos or Collingwood and hopefully be up against Hawthorn in a semi and Doggies in a Prelim....thats where we'll go to.

Ball banger...without Goose and Max we struggle...but I would prefer Leigh Fisher on the Medium forward (Motlop for instance) and Sam Fisher on the tall....and I would much prefer BJ wing forward...as good as his setup work is.

Goddard

Did some really good things today...great evasion and kicks to advantage....but....I really worry for him as a defender...gives away too many goals and frees in defensive 50....the sooner we can move him up to a permanent midfield HFF the better....would prefer Leigh Fifher back there for the defens...

I don't normally complain about umpiring....but it was abyssmal today....counted 4 gift goals to Power.

Reminds me of the game at AAMI where on Geishen's own analysis the count was 14 mistakes to 1 in favour of Port...I think we lost that game by 8 points!

Great win last night, best for the last 2 years...we've been playing better ever since we have dropped the negative game plan that we're not used to. Credit goes to Ross Lyon for not being so dogmatic that he persists with a plan that demonstrably doesn't work.

Gwilt nearly dragged Carlton back into the match by himself....I counted 4 goals he handed to them and 2 others he had a hand in.
Was laughing out loud in the end as I was there with a Carlton mate who was pinning his hopes in the last Q on Gwilt givibng them more freekicks in front of goals.

Last year at a Saints-Bulldogs game and the crowd had just gone silent when a young lad, obviously just entering puberty, yelled out "C'Mon Doggies" and his voice cracked right in the middle, at peak volume....you've never seen sustained laughter from about 20 rows of supporters...a good t...

Spot on Jeff...just posted another of his quotes on separate thread.
No-one from Reservoir has ever spoken like this before.
He has run out of ideas and started using meaningless language and empty phrases to cover the void of leadership.

Is this leadership?

RL: " I just facilitated the information that was put in front of me, at the SCG, and the byproduct of it is that Milne and Dal Santo have been dropped." Facilitated....byproduct ???? Talk about using the passive voice....If you're going to drop them at least say "I dropped them"...

What about a week off for "general soreness" if he needs to be dropped....fine line between sending a message and humiliating our best midfielder of the last 3 -4 years.
