Merchandise Sale - Linton Street - 31/8

Post: # 1821480Post Sainter_Dad »

Not happy Jan

Plenty of people buying stuff - but a lot were not!

$200 - signed player issued jumper
$120 - unsigned player issue jumper

$40 shorts
$10 socks

Seemed like a money grab - no bargains to be had here folks.

TBF - Prices are similar to Fangear and Jimm Kidd - but without the shipping - just not worth the trip

Disappointing.

Melbourne Storm are selling left over jumpers from this year for $39.95, im sure our club could've had some real bargins aswell.

Looked like a rip off from the email. AFL merchandise is unbelievably over-priced.

Compared to the deal that Geelong get with Cotton On - who provide great gear at decent prices - we are getting smashed.

Typical St Kilda management.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Not always - but this one was especially so - they have introduced player signed - and if you can't get an autograph then this is a cheapish way - at $200 for a player signed jumper - but I always thought getting it signed was half the fun.

Last year they had past jumpers at about $25.00 - this year - $80.00.

Even training tops were $60.00ish if I recall.

Just heard about this - poor effort by the club. Not aligned to other years... jumpers used to be $50.

The fact there is left over merchandise suggests it couldn’t sell / be auctioned off during year.

Probably happens when we are ~$12m in debt...

Perhaps Marketing still think supporters are ok with paying a premium out of devotion and consider it a donation the club deserves - despite the last 8 years of buffoonery. I don't think they are economically savvy or have the street smarts to be able to run a stall at a country market.

It should be much cheaper because the season is over and there will be new designs next year.

This is the attitude I suspect.
