2020-23 better times ahead
Positives for this year-
Rowan Marshall
Jack Billings
Hunter Clark
Jade Gresham( go back to forward line)
Max King is coming
The Big 5- 19-23 years of age bracket all top liners.
We found some more players:
Wilkie
Paton
Parker
Dunstan ( has stepped up)
Ed Phillips
Lonie ( taken the next step)
Established good players-
Steele
Carlisle
Steven ( has to come back)
I have a feeling Mc Cartin will give it another go not sure on Roberton.
Gubby Allan will nail a free agent or two we will be in a good position 2020-23 window.
It’s not all doom and gloom we have huge injuries you can’t assess on wins and losses.
People won’t see the huge upside of a healthy list and huge salary cap space we have huge room to improve.
Newnes Sinclair and Acres are 3 that frustrate maybe a new coach can get these talented trio to perform stronger.
It’s not all doom and gloom we have better tones ahead!!

Now why does this sound so familiar?
Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

Love your optimism but this is what we were told by the club and some sections of the press during the pre-season, and look where we are now. We will probably drop another position on the ladder tomorrow afternoon if Melbourne get up too. That makes us exactly where we were last season, and we actually could end up with a weaker list next season if some of our very good players decide to retire prematurely - and there could be five that might.Vazelos wrote: ↑Sun 14 Jul 2019 1:46am Positives for this year-

Allan will need to earn his money during the trade period, and our recruiters would do well to select players who are at least a 50% chance of playing next year, or we could actually end up worse in 2020 not better!
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

Securing free agents will largely depend on the excitement surrounding the club with the new coaching appointment.
Brad Scott isn't going to make us a destination club. More likely to make a few players look elsewhere.

Football changes very quickly.
We have a young list. FACT
We have had massive injuries. FACT
We have huge salary cap space FACT
We have found several players this year.FACT
That to me tells me there is huge upside.
You don’t have to be too optimistic to see we will improve.

Brisbane Lions finished 15th last year and 18th the year before! This year they are currently 3rd!
With a full strength side and some further free agents we can also achieve this or similar next year
