Going further back we had Cowboy, Alan Morrow, big Carl, Jimmy O’Dea, Jimmy Read, Barry Lawrence, Travis Payze, John Bonney and Brian Sierakowski all players with a bit of unpredictable mongrel in them. The team strutted tall and confident for over a decade with these type blokes alongside them.

Rather than chase the player who received the handpass (Billing?) from Gresham, he chose to TAKE HIS EYES OFF THE BALL, RUN THE OPPOSITE WAY AND SWING A ROUND-ARM CLENCHED FIST INTO THE LOWER ABDOMEN OF GRESHAM!

Another off the ball assault and he gets away with a $5000 fine? We didn't even get a free kick! 5 grand is a button off the shirt for Cunnington; suspension and disqualification from the Brownlow is the only FAIR penalty in this case.
