Wow. What a game. 3 majors. 2 assists. 20 touches. Hard at it. Well liked by his team mates. Great game all around. A seriously decent player we have recruited here folks.

Proved his bashers wrong that thought he was soft as butter, wanted him to see out his 3 years at Sandy, doesn't pressure, etc.

The issue is that there has been 5 games and Kent has performed up to standard in 1 of them. The most recent game.

That you CANNOT appreciate this is just sad.

So beating your own chest now is just rubbish.

The FACT is that in his first 4 games what he delivered was not up to standard from a player that has played as many games as he has in total.

That he had delivered this week is fantastic. But if he can only for it one week in 5 then Sandy beckons.

Let us just hope that he has turned the corner.

Anyway... he shut down Harbrow in the first game and kicked a clutch goal in the last qtr which probably won us the game and was ok during Rds 2-4 (nothing special but not terrible either).

Rubbish, as you stated as proved the bashers wrong. So quite clearly you are referring to his 4 previous games.

Please have the balls to own up to to what you state.

I think in these types of disputes we refer to the subject coach/player as a percentage, that would make Dean Kent Mr 20% this week, assuming I've calculated correctly.

When you are praising a player who has performed well in the most recent round of football it is ok to also hang shyte on other posters who have disagreed with you in the past. You are righteous in that you are heaping praise on a worthy St Kilda soldier and you are solely interested in defending the effort and performance of the said player, rather than any indirect or unintended attempt at point scoring and pedestal standing

Didn't you know they just throw random darts at a board with all the players numbers on it for selection. They also prefer to watch Netflix at Moorabbin instead of game tapes. The list goes on!

Was singled out by the coach in two other games for sacrificing his own game to play a negating pressure forward role So was rated internally in 2 of his 4 earlier games and obviously killed it on Saturday. My only knock on him is his set shots have been bad. I am sure Ted doesnt need anyone to argue for him but I recall last week someone saying that Kent was soft as butter, didnt tackle, hardly touches it etc etc. Pretty sure that criticism was unwarranted but certainly put to bed on the weekend. As outsiders, we dont always know what role a coach has asked a player to do. So its not unreasonable to take a shot at those that went off too early with their canning of Kent
