Rest Lenny?

Post: # 1484048Post Newman »

It would be terrible if Lenny say did a hamstring at Suns game and missed his final two matches in Melbourne - especially the Saints last home game with Lenny which the club's is concentrating on to become his big finale - and hopefully a HUGE Etihad crowd to see him last time at Etihad.

So … is it worth say 'resting' Lenny for the Suns clash. Out: Hayes (sore)

I'm sure he wants to play every game - but what do you think?

What if he gets an injury at training? He must play if fit. he has 5 games at the most in his career and needs to play all of them if he can.

I think that we give ourselves a chance on the Gold Coast, so Lenny is in :!:

The week off will have refreshed them.

Reckon he would hate to be rested "in case of injury".

geeewiz i remember the same being said about harvey for his 350th .... they are football players they dont want to be rested if they can play they will want to play ... never mond the "home"games this is one of the last chances for the team to travel with Lenny .. plus why should the Qld saints fans miss out on saying goodbye to lenny ... they have as much right as the Melbourne members to show their appriciation

I'll try and be nice.

This is the most stupid thread on Saintsational I have ever read. If you don't believe me, ask Lenny!

At the sponsor function I asked him if he would play every remaining game or take a rest and he said he was feeling good and hoped to play every game.

The 'ayes' have it. Go for it Lenny. Hey ... it was just a thought. I personally would love to see him reach the 300 - but that would mean another season. He certainly is going out on top of his game.

...cheers, st_Trav!...thanks for sticking up for the interstate supporters...

...this is the only game I'll get to this season..(fortunately business interests have me on the Gold Coast next week)....so it's gonna be great to have the opportunity to cheer on Lenny one last time....

...plus, we're a chance in this game..and we need him!

I think they would make him the sub in his final game and get him on with the leg strapped back on if need be.

I'd be gutted if Lenny wasn't playing up here for my last chance to see the man himself in action. There are passionate Saints supporters interstate you know!

i am obviously bias but i would say some of our most passionate supporters are interstaters ... most of us pay our membership every year knowing if we are lucky we get one game in our home state .. many of us will treck across the country to see a game in melbourne and even with the saturation of the local teams still stay comitted to our team ...
some of our victorian members dont even bother turning up to games and then bellyache about having to drive a longer distance to get to seaford ... :)

Not sure where the hour comes from, we're in the same time zone

The light year I would've agreed with when I first moved up here, luckily there's a few of us 'mexicans' up her now to drag them kicking and screaming into the new millennium :D

Yep and some dont turn up because they have many games here and either get sick of watching or have other things on. If I knew I had one game to attend I wouldnt miss it either. I know I have around 15 games to attend so sometimes I have other things to do.

you may be right but from the members i talk to over here in WA i reckon if there were 15 games in WA we would go to each and every one .. testimate to that is the sheer distance some of our WA members would travel to come watch the old block out games back in the day (block out games were the games a few years ago when the local teams game clashed with ours and both Fox and the FTA channels showed the local teams game so we had to source a venue with a Northern Territory feed)
