IS it too early....

Speed, agility, skill, and most importantly he's CREATIVE. Fast thinker. Peripheral awareness.

Frightening.

The kid has it. You can just tell. First time in ages I can remember saying that about a Saints youngster. Bloody exciting watching these kids start their careers. So bloody proud of senior players the way they are nurturing them as well - Roo, Lenny, Schneider, Joey, even Ray. I think I'm going to get emotional....

Yep. He's got it.

Just got it. IT's all you can say. f****** fantastic feeling to have a new guy like that in the team.

You can spend years and years on some players hoping that show a sign. Then a guy like Billings appears, he just has it. The elusive 'it'.

the bolt from the blue love it!

Private School/City Boy.. We've been told he won't make it..

In the real world, kid is going to be a genuine Superstar.. Lets hope he can reach the Roo/Lenny heights we've been spoilt with the last decade..

Wow game. Looks like he loved the win and his goals too. An instant favourite son along with Dunstan and Eli.

Ask Con. Tongue in cheek, Con went very early after his first game as sub writing him off...

I love the kid..

Loved the cheeky little bounced hand passes and kicks he did. Like a harlem globetrotter with a footy.

Guess you must have missed Dunstan a few weeks ago!
Enough nit picking by me, I haven't felt like this since 2005!

I think Richardson might be pretty excited by Jack#3 (by order of arrival, not jumper number). He sorta gave it away with his post game comment i.e. "He's gonna be a beauty, Jack". I think he might rate his ball use and decision making, too, given his reference to when Jack's got it, we're gonna keep it (to paraphrase).

I love the fact we picked the kid on absolute, pure football talent (and 'feel' for the game, which is a tad esoteric, I know, but, whatever it is, Jack's got it). He's not big, he's not super quick and, as Richardson acknowledged, his last 2 years of TAC Cup were played without being able to train much (still made the AA U-18 side both years). His pre-season was injury interrupted, too. Yet, he plays his first full game and looks like he's been amongst it for years. Given his lack of preparation for the last 2+ years, the improvement to come is almost frightening.

It's very, very hard not to go over the top about this kid's future, and it is that pure football talent which makes it so hard to contain the excitement.

He's a joy to watch. Players like young Jack make the game worth watching.

That sniper-accurate kick to Nick, lace-out, how effin good was that.
How many times has Nick got a hamstring-strainer aimed at his toes?
He got none, tonight

There's a bit of Steve Johnson like inventiveness about him, Gringo. He sees spaces and angles a lot of players can't.

It's hard to compare Billings to a single player. Definitely a bit of Stevie J, a little Schneider and a lot of Jimmy Bartel IMO. Very strong above head and clean with the ball. Doesn't fumble. Can find distance with his kicking very quickly. That pass to Schneider in the goal square was sublime.
