From where I sat (L3, Aisle 14) last night, OUR Cheer squad appeared to have MORE NUMBERS, MORE COLOUR, made MORE NOISE and showed A WHOLE LOT MORE CLASS than their counterparts down the other end

I have no idea what to say on a banner but lets be honest surely someone can come up with something better than last night. It was something like go the saints go the saints, we can beat carlton go the saints. didnt they get ideas from here once. There are some very smart people out there. Im just not one of them.

Who said they didnt. i reckon they are great. going interstate all the time but things can improve. If we cant bag something where not prepared to improve it then I hope no one ever has a bad word about our club or its footballers.

Didnt you read what I said. I am not a smart man but I know ordinary wording on banners. There are many smarter than me on here who could come up with something good. By the way I aint a cheer squad basher.

Totally pathetic and IMO the club admin should veto all banners. If that had happened, I would hope that someone that works for our club would've said it's crap and given some advice as to better wording.

I suspect that there was supposed to be a 'congratulatory' banner for Kosi's 200th and when he wasn't selected they needed to make a change?

IIRC from my days making the banner in the early 70's, the wording was decided on early in the week (it was back then so that the lettering could be made up in time).

Umm well. Im also not a cheersquad knocker as i respect the dedication from them week in week out. But i hear ya P66 it was pretty lame what was written on it.
On a side note after becoming a bit more active posting lately i find myself in agreeing with P66 post alot lately. Can you feel the love plugsy?
