Positives

Post: # 1338326Post Teflon »

Yes there are some

Webster - good attack on ball and can kick
Sippos - faded but we've got a forward
Ross - polish with good disposal

We are also getting clearer on retirements

Milne - it's time , Pluggers shy but Ill call it
Kosi
Blake
Jones
Hayes

Think today was bad .. I fear the worst is yet to come but at least a loss like today makes it clear - had we hung on by a few pints I think we'd paper over cracks and delay the inevitable even more.

It's the modern game.

Once you can't win it, there's no point winning at all.

I want them trying and striving on-field, but frankly the only way to get back up to the top is to get gun kids in. And the only way to do that, is to finish down the bottom for a few years.

It's almost numb watching the Saints right now. If we win, I'm happy. But if I lose, I'm kinda Ok with it too.

Whilst smashed out of the middle, as was big Mac, I thought Hickeys work around the ground was better today.

Yep. Though pretty much unsighted in the second half

Hickey will be a lot better when he's fully fit. His hip has been stuffed all year. I'd like to find out what the story there is.

That argument is based on the idea that our kids are not as good as those more experienced players in the team ... I'm not sure about that.

Murdoch, Saunders and Wright - all kids - are better than some of the older spuds out there. Tougher too.

Sippos looked good, noticed last few weeks he has put in some really hard chases. Hasnt caught anyone but good pressure. But then he disappears for a while. Will be much better payer once he gets a tank.

Montagna, Robertson, rooey, Steven, Siposs, hickey, saad, geary. Didn't think newnes or Ross had great games, I like them, just keeping the positives for tonight. Negatives, selection again confusing! Hayes reinjuring his calf; our poor conditioning again! Young and old alike look unable to run out games with the same intensity as our opposition bar none this year!

Did he re-injure his calf? I commented before the game that I was surprised he was in after doing a calf. Those take a long time to get right. Stupid to risk an older player with a calf complaint. I knew that from afar, don't these experts know how these things go?

Newnes and Ross were great I thought- no, not 30 posession games but real good under pressure. Ross weaved through traffic at one stage and never looked flustered will be a v good player.

Newnes is a class act.
Siposs is showing more endeavour.
Seb will get better week by week.
Jimmy Webster will be a star.
Stick with Hickey, he can play.
Roberton is a revelation.
Jack Steven just keeps getting better.

AND..........................................(drum roll)

We are gettin our hands on a top 5 pick!!!!

BRING IT ON!!!

Seriously it aint all bad - I see more polish, skills, decision making in some of these kids than in Jones, Gilberts, Milnes etc

Our tanking effort is very good anyone outside the club would think we are trying our hardest , we beat Carlton for a smokescreen, been competitive in most games ....reminiscent of the 2010 eagles ...we may finish 17 th ...

Ross was pretty good, Saads best game for a while, Roberton is a gun, Montagna, Steven.

Shame we didn't get Koby Stevens in the end he's looking like a player.

Disappointed at how slow and messy both Dal and Lenny are these days. Both looked very average- Lenny was limping at one point.
