Must be a new marketing campaign going on. I just had a "thanks for signing on as a member again" (obviously prerecorded) call from Sean Dempster ...

Funny thing was he didn't ask for anything! No raffle ticket, no sponsorship thingy, nothing at all.

Went down to Picasso's in Hampton Street a week and a half ago, and as I was waiting for the pizzas, in walks Dal to pick up his takeaway order (obviously a regular - the staff knew him. Hope the club dieticians are okay with pizza). We both stood there waiting for a while and I was tempted to ask him to make sure we win a Premiership this year, but chickened out. Anyway, the next day, I get a voice message on the phone, and hear "Hi [insert my name] it's Nick Dal Santo from the Saints ...". For a split second I thought he'd somehow got my number and was ringing to ask how I enjoyed my pizza, then realised it was the recorded message chasing my membership. Made me wish I'd got the call the day before, so when I saw him at the pizza shop I could've told him I'd got his message that day and would sign up soon (though I probably would've chickened out again).

I wasn't sure if I missed something, that's why I posted it ... but Sean asked for nothing! I've no idea other than the feel-good factor why they would do it.

yeah got someone (missed the name) and they thanked me for being an interstate member and hope to see me at the adelaide game this year....well i would, if you did something so we could meet the players at a function.
but it seems to be better to fly home straight after the game.

Maybe some of the players are doing it of their own volition and it'll be an ongoing thing..... Sean will call you after a loss in need of cheering up, Sean will call you of an evening just to say hi and see what you're up to. Could be Sean is lonely and in need of a friend.
