Nettlefold is talking porkies.

It's a lousy day to meet the players. Massive queues for autographs. Long waits for limited kids rides. All in all I found it a waste of time last year and would not recommend going to it sorry.

I won't/cant.

Sorry I wasn't aware you weren't allowed to say what you really think anymore on here!

It was a big disappointment and from what I recall last year quite a few agreed. Maybe this year will be different.
As for memberships, plenty of other ways to buy it!

You didnt like it?? Fine...thats your opinion but dont recommended others dont go just cos you didnt enjoy it..sheesh. We need all the memberships we can get and if just ONE person reads this, decides not to go..and ends up not getting a membership (and i dont care how much of a long shot it is)..well...nice work Einstein.

You dont have to be controversial and argument provoking all the time..much as you seem to think its good sport.

I went to the Melbourne one at Luna Park last week with my grandkids (can't help it if my daughter marries a Demon). It was excellent and it was in St Kilda at a venue owned by a former Saints player and president.

FWIW if you are going to the family day and are looking to grab a feed - Seaford ( contrary to popular belief ) has a few really good quality cafe's - you can check out http://www.beachcafeseaford.com.au/ - located on the beach with an amazing view of our beaches or Blue Iguana Cafe located opposite The beach car park on Nepean h'way - the Mr and I often do lunch at both and highly recommend.

Those with kiddies the park down at Frankston foreshore is a great place to let them run out the beans - we have an almost 5yr old and almost 3yr old and both have a great time so suited for little ones and older ones.

As expected and would expect that at all family days.

Best opportunity for autograph hunting is open training sessions.

Waves Restaurant on the beach in Frankston is great. Next to the lifesaving club. Go down the street next to Mcdonalds, just on the left, over the creek. Parking outside the door.

The Frankston Boathouse www.theboathouserestaurant.com.au
You wouldn't even know you are in the middle of Frankston as it is on the Kananook Creek and has a rural feel about the place.
Great food and good service as well.

Kananook Creek is a spot of beauty. Try to spot the amount of dead fish, rubbish and possibly a dead body float pass.

We went to last years Family Day and enjoyed it. It's only 3 hours of your day to support your club. Seeing jumper presentation, player and coach interview, players doing footy clinic with the kids, merchandise clearance. Bratty if you want a large cheap feed Sofia's on the beach near the pier is ok, I have also heard good things about Waves.

No dead fish, no dead people to help sustain the sterotype that Frankston has developed.

Sounds like you can't work beyond reinforcing the bad image Frankston has, because it might help to feel better about where you may live. Nothing wrong with Frankston.

Don't let Clarky upset you, he is most comfortable at McDonalds or KFC in South Yarra. Would have loved Smorgy's in Brighton when it was open.

No, i dislike seeing gangs of no hopers, trailer trashes drinking at 11am. I just dont like that rats that are in society.

So you haven't bought the I love Frankston t-shirts yet Clarkey??!!

These (clearly Pies fans) that hang out drinking at 11 etc etc, do they ever appear near Frankston Oval?

That part looked safe to me last year.

Don't want to put off people going due to safety concerns.
