About 1500 to 2000 speccys turned up. 43 players trained, Roo conspicuous by his absence. 38 had boxing drills on five different occasions in between handball drills, stretching etc. Session lasted for nearly 2 hours - worth watching.

was good to get down there, lovely and sunny. can't really give a review of the session above what Go Sainters Go said, was with my 3 year old son (by the way, if you were there i was the guy struggling with the little shade tent). it was great to see the guys go through their paces, they did seem to be doing a lot of boxing (except for the guys on the bikes, including NDS).

spoke briefly with Saad after the session, he was very happy to be there and is looking forward to his opportunity (introduced him to my son as one of our "new players" and Ahmed said "hopefully I'll be here a long time"). he is a little ball of muscle.

Nick Dal and BJ we both very cool with my son, autographs and photos.

also spoke with Jimmy Gwilt, his knee is coming along well and is having no trouble kicking (I told him we need him back for some muscle in the back line ;) ).

Went with my 6 year old.

Free 2011 merchandise was appreciated by him even if we already had it as he wants to give it to his friends.

The surprise training session where he got to have a kick and train with the players was a huge thrill as he got to kick with Gwilt, Armitage, Peake and Archer and of course he loved it despite taking some time to get used to kicking a REAL footy!

The autograph session was shorter than usual but still a good chance to mix with players and he got about 10 autographs. Not too shabby.

We were trying to spot Jack Newnes who we are sponsoring this year but we couldn't work out which one he was with so many new faces! About 3 or 4 of them look similar and so so young.

Biggest impression: Archer, Stanley and Siposs have put on upper body muscle. Simpkin still looks a little light in the upper body to hold down full back this year. More of a third tall option still.

Got two of those draftees upstairs asleep!!!

They put on a good old fashioned clinic for the kids, well done to the club and especially the players.

It's just bloody fantastic to see a strong and meaningful interaction between club coach/players and supporters young & old.

It's starting to feel like a CLUB that we are ALL part of again!!

Good work Scotty & co....

That's my little one in the #12!

Got a great pic with BJ & she just loved getting autographs in her new Saints autograph book.

A really great 'feel good' day... all we spoke about on the way home was about going to see the Saints & where was Rooey?

** SaintBrat you must have been on the other side of the Under 6 year olds drill from me. That lady in the pink was doing my head in!**
