Batmobile

Post: # 1150902Post Furphy »

Remember the infamous Batmobile from 1991? It's for sale on ebay, I wonder of Angry Anderson is in the boot?

I was at that Granny.

Possibly the last GF to have seats on sale to the general public, from where I bought 2 seats!

I knew I was at least partially Australian when I could explain to people just why Angry on the Batmobile was so funny...

The fireworks at the end of the performance still crack me up...

You can listen to Bristle tell you Carlton are still a massive chance at 28 points down with two minutes to go, you can listen to him tell you all about Lorne, or you can watch a monkey on a pushbike...I know which I prefer...

You can relive the moment here:

Yep, nothing like pre-match & half time entertainment consisting of people being driven around in the back of cars to the accompaniment of some pissweak fireworks display. What next, Lionel Ritchie?
How about this for half time entertainment?

That was embarrasing, but very funny. We won't see gf entertainment like that again

Angry Anderson was hilarious. One of the best pre-match entertainments ever.

Would love to see Rose Tattoo play before a GF, however, they are just not the same without poor old Pete Wells :(

What are we going to haul Meatloaf around in? One of those gigantic cargo planes, the ones the Russians use to transport military troops and equipment? I believe it's called an Antonov and even it may have trouble loading and driving Mr. Micheal Aday (aka meatloaf) around!

I went about 20metres in it. I had to deliver Batman and Robin (plus I think Superwoman) to the Junction Oval -- they were umpiring the Community Cup footy match.

That sounds exactly like a dream.
Maybe it was!

I think I might have been at that one but suffered brain fade from excessive sunstroke. Well the beer money was going to charity anyway.
