I didn't think he'd escape unscathed. It looked loose. Oh well he can catch up with family this week and surf some waves.

I know a head's involved but I really hope the club fights this.

Of course I'm biased but this one is just ridiculous in my opinion.

First time for Roo isn't it?

Been a good boy most of his career.

Not endorsing him going out and getting suspended regularly, but I like the attitude he has brought to games the last few weeks. He is a big part of the reason Crows were hearing footsteps, his tackling pressure has been great.

Don't let this deter you Roo to ease off in your intimidation, just go the ferocious tackle, they are very effective.

Wait.... Walsh, Johnson AND Siposs are injured.....

So we'ld have to bring in Gardiner? Or Blake? Or Archer?

I don't honestly know what we should do....

Yes.

Nick Riewoldt, St Kilda, has been charged with a Level Three engaging in rough conduct offence against Brad Symes, Adelaide, during the first quarter of the round 18 match between St Kilda and Adelaide, played at Etihad Stadium on Friday July 22, 2011.

In summary, due to a five-year good record, his three-match sanction can be reduced to one match with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Adelaide Crows, the incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), high impact (three points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has an existing five-year good record, which reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 243.75 points and a two-match sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 182.81 points and a one-match sanction.

Brad Ottens clocks someone intentionally behind play. Gets 1 week, reduced due to good record.

Riewoldt gets the same penalty?

Well they cant fight it then. Miss this week and ready for Freo. Looks like Symes must have got a resonable injury out of it or he would have got low impact.

High impact?

Isn't it low, medium or high?

I missed the incident, is that an accurate indication of the force?

So the chooklotto factory assessed that bump as requiring the same penalty as they assessed Ottens punching a bloke in the head behind play last week?

Great system

Must admit that live I did not see anything.

Can't imagine that it would have been anything but accidental given Rooey's excellent record.

Nonetheless seems that he'll have to take the week.

Perhaps Kosi plays up forward and we bring Gards back in to ruck with Ben?

No he was unlucky but because he had another option accidents count when hit in the head. The impact would have been decided after the doctors report.

It's an absolute joke. Did Symes not come back on the ground? High impact to me is concussion. If someone's concussed they're not allowed back on the ground. How can the AFL accept that as evidence and then not sanction the crows?
