Where and when can we check about our allocation for Grand Final Tickets?

Haven't seen anything come out as yet.

I thought 5pm was the deadline to have the funds in the credit card or nominated account?

From the Social Club info sheet:-
Following the allocation of Grand Final tickets, any rejected credit cards will be followed up the day after the Preliminary Final. This will be either Saturday 19 or Sunday 20 September. Any payments that have not cleared by 5.00pm (EST) on the designated follow up day will be cancelled.

I read that to mean that today is the designated day and that allocations will happen, funds withdrawn, then follow-up for rejected cards. All to be completed by 5pm.

I read it the same way.

Still nothing come from my account. I am definitely able to tell if authorisation has been taken. Whilst the details will not show up, my available balance will drop and so far nothing

I read it that the money was being deducted last night (once it was confirmed that St Kilda made the grand final) and your card would be re-charged on Saturday or Sunday (depending on whether your played Friday or Saturday) if the funds were not available?

This wait is killing me.......just want to know that I will be there otherwise I will be looking at a few of the packages available as I WON'T be missing next week!!!

thats how we read it as well. My friend who has the tickets allocated to her credit card has been ringing her friends who are also in social club and they also haven't had their funds been charged. Fingers crossed it all goes through.

I'ma watching :P Nothing deducted yet.

Oh, and to the poster above looking for a ticket.....Good luck.

You have a couple of options:

A) Buy a package through an afl club. Your looking at $1000-1500 for ONE seat.

B) Buy from a scalper. $500+....expect over 1K.

C) Go back in time to six months ago and buy a social club membership.

D) Hang out at a ticketek outlet on the day of the GF.....Literally loiter there all morning. Sometimes, they release an extra 1000 general admin tickets. Usually the worst in the house. THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS> but you would need to be hellishly lucky.

Apparently we have to check the saints website from 9am monday morning to see if we have been allocated a ticket ?

From the website:

MONDAY: If you are a Social Club member with Grand Final ticketing entitlements or you registered as a September Saint, check our website from 9:00am Monday morning to see if you have been successfully allocated a ticket to the 2009 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Still, our CC will prob be charged before then I would imagine.

The deducted amount should give you an idea of what you are getting :P

Correct - it just depends where your seat is, or if it's a standing room ticket.

Actually talking to an old animal enclosure friend of mine after the game who had just flown in from Chicago regarding tickets.
He reckons AFL Grand Final tickets are the hardest things to get of any domestic team sport competition in the world.
With his business connections, he says he can easily get a ticket to the Superbowl or a World Series Game, but AFL Grand Final, virtually impossible.
His friend has managed to secure two tickets via the Swans Grand Final Package.

My credit card has had a deduction of $1261.95 which by my reckoning means standard seats although I can't confirm that until Monday.

Trouble is we asked for tickets that included someone who was mobility impaired so I'm wondering if we got, 7 x standards (incl one concession) and 1 premimum somewhere else.

None of the calculations match the $126.95 for 7 adults and one concession ticket, unless 1 junior squadron is also at concession price. Any ideas?
