If the lights there still work, postpone it 2 or 3 hours and play at night.

Don't ever think lights there to the required lux.

Its a practice match. They can longer breaks and have as many on the bench as they like. I think they will be able to handle it.

Exactly, otherwise they lose a week. They should be able to work around it

agreed, we just can't afford a weeks break leading up to the main season.

N1ck...

One would think that the lights are still working, because just how would Carlton train during the season :?: One would think that every AFL training venue has lights...

I really don't see it as an issue

Luke should be OK if the reports are accurate. The fires are to the South of Burwood Hwy & Lukes lives to the North of Burwood Hwy. Hurricane & Riccardo are also from Upwey (I don't know where in Upwey). Lets hope they are OK !!

Every year (except when we stay in the main comp) we seem to get a match scheduled at Princes Park.

It's a wasteland, devoid of any heart, and surrounded by broken down old stands.

Why do we always seem to get a match there?

Transport to the venue is easy and if you work in the CBD it's all the better...

You are not suggesting Casey Fields by any chance :wink:

I would prefer that we spread our wings during the nab challenge. Whilst it is convenient for some for it to be at Visy Park and convenient for others for it to be at Casey Fields, I would prefer that our games are played in Regional Victoria. The order of preference being something like this;

Gippsland. Lots of players from there and this gets me in the good books with yipper

Ballarat. Our traditional country zone and I am scared of Brat

Bendigo. Possibly the most footy mad town/area in country Victoria. Try to cash in

Wangaratta/Wodonga. We have a very strong following in the Nth East

We need (more than most) to explore new markets and create new interest in our club. This is the ideal opportunity to do this !!
