Birss in the Warm Up !!

Did anyone else notice that Shane Birss was out there doing the warm up. The medical & fitness staff seemed to be taking a lot of interest in Lenny. Must have been touch & go !!

I saw the same thing especially when there were 5 or 6 training staff intently watching the warm-up. Clearly he was being tested and Birss was on stand-by. Was anything mentioned in the broadcast?

But isn't it too late after the warmup to change the team anyway?

The commentators on the radio said that Birss was out there because even at that late stage there was a doubt over Lenny, so Birss was warming up just in case. AFL officials spotted him too and made him come off.

Gave me an almighty scare that I'd missed something and someone had withdrawn. Luckily no one was, but it puy my in a bit of frenzy trying to spot someone missing.

I'm sure we can all contribute to the fine. As long as the AFL doesn't come along with some long rule and tries to take the game off us.

I'm sur AD could find a "process" that was violated, even if there is no law against it.

Should have been playing without any mitigating circumstances. As happy as i am with the win just cannot see why Lyon has no faith in him.

Ross Lyon mentioned it after the match. Lenny Hayes was having a spasm issue just before the match and was in doubt up to start of the match.
