An inability to take chances means not good enough

Post: # 582285Post older saint »

Geelong, Collingwood, Bulldogs. 3 games against top teams which we had the opportunity to put a gap in the game in the 1st quarter and didn't and end up losing games .

Reality is StKilda is no more than a mid on the rung team , and due to the lack of internal development nothing will change. We have no players ) perhaps Goddard the exception, who has gone to the next level. Clarke boys, montagna, L Fisher, Gram , all players who if they worked harder could be star players but for what ever reason do not.

While Dal Santo was good today I really believe that he needs to receive a Ablett like talk about where he is at as he could be anything

well said

although i think that comparing ablett to dal is like chalk to cheese.
ablett is MILES ahead of dal.
cant say ive seen dal read the ball of the pack, shrug a tackle, fake a handpass, dodge two opponents and snap a goal on his left too many times.

he was good today dal......yet alot of his possies are from not having an opponent and from being the escape out man at the back of the pack.
totally diff players.

dal is good
ablett is great.

heaven help us if iys lyon who gives him the ablett like talking too....he couldnt fire up a bunsen burner

Ablett is in a team surrounded by great players. Dal Santo was the only player for us today who can actually kick the ball to a team mate with any surety. Nick is a champion, as is the other Nick, who is the only player in the team who can take contested marks. Hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.

Today they were Turkeys. Played like a bunch of losers, which I know they aren't.
