OUT - Blake, Fiora, RClarke

Maguire - Free's up Sam Fisher to play sweeping half back, unable to do so on the weekend. Play on Hawkins. Max on Mooney. He is good enough to come in and play accountable football. Something our backline lacked on the weekend.

Jones/Gardiner - Gives some run, leading options to our forward line, other than Roo. Very static, one dimensional on the weekend. Gardiner point to prove against old mob.

Kozy - 2nd Ruck off the bench.
Gram - to the wing, less accountable

Gilbert, Max, Geary
Fish, Maguire, Goddard
Gram, Hayes, Montagna
Jones, Roo, Schnieder
CGardiner, Gehrig, Milne
King, Dal, Ball
Kozy, Harvey, XClarke, LFisher

I'd doubt he's trying to.

He'd be there solely to get fit and match practice at this stage.

On an unrelated note - I wonder if it would be confusing for King/C. Gardiner to play against Geelong, seeing they'd be used to kicking/handballing to that team. I wonder if they'd instinctively try to do it then stop themselves at the last second.

Same goes for Schnieder and Demptster I guess.

Goose is a long way off if he keeps playing like he did on saturday night.

Still needs at an absoloute minimum a month of conditioning/match fitness, and then need to get his hands on the pill.

Good call Rocket.

I like your reasoning too. He may be the stopper we need on hawkins that frees up our runners.

Darwn is even further away from the action than Alice Springs, but from this forum about Casey highlights I got the impression we wouldn't see Goose for some time yet. I think he needs to prove himself to himself. But the role you have highlighted for him may just be part of the tonic.

I love the Goose and lookforward in anticipation.

Ross does seem to be loading up the team with height. He has something in mind. I hope Goose and Dempster can be a big part in it. All the best in the Saints colours Sean!

I think we all agree with the positional logic...

It is just that we were not sure how fot and match fit he was based on the casey reports.

Still as long as he is physical fit...an out of form Goose is probablya much beter option thna an out of form Raph.

He's been playing for 4 weeks!! He has been declared 100% fit and available for selection. So, they picked him!!

surely he would be in (if he does play) to play on either mooney or Hawkins (obviously some may say) however that frees up fisher to play more of a rebounding role.
