Lipinski?

Post: # 1922658Post Banger9798 »

Looks like e wants to leave the Dogs for more opportunity.
23 year old, haven't seen alot of him but remember him another of their skilful hard running brigade.

From the doggies AFL site.

"
Patrick Lipinski

Patrick Lipinski is a talented midfield/forward who was snapped up with a second-round (pick 28 overall) selection in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft. A former basketballer, the Northern Knights product has clean hands and is composed under pressure. Lipinski made his senior debut in Round 23, 2017 against Hawthorn, and made 17 senior appearances in his second season at the Kennel in 2018. Lipinski was forced to bide his time at VFL level early in 2019, before breaking into the AFL side in round 10. He played every game for the rest of the season, after spending his time at Footscray transitioning to an inside midfield role. He has since become an important member of the Bulldogs’ line-up, complementing the midfield group. Lipinski signed a two-year extension in 2019, tying him to the Club until the end of 2021.

It sounds like the Dogs are going to get a deal done to keep him.

He’d be handy if we lost some experience

Already has a 3 year offer that he's not happy with so I doubt it will be Butler cheap but I have no idea what they are offering

He’s out of contract, so if he chooses us, we have the whip hand.

If he chooses us it simply means we offered more than the Dogs. No whip hand there unless we use it on ourselves.

As far as a trade goes, he is out of contract, so if he wants to go - the dogs have NO say in it.

They can influence where he goes, but very few players don’t get to their destination if they are out of contract

This appears about money. It's not that he wants to go anywhere, it's just that he wants a bigger contract than is being offered by the Dogs.

I reckon he wants game time

Bontempelli, Libba, Dunkley, Smith, McCrae, Hunter

Their midfield is stacked!!!

He’s been on the fringe for a few years, like Narkle is in need of opportunities

Much like Butler was

Uses it well by foot that’s the attraction
Not overly quick
Not sure if he gets it enough (same question over Narkle really).
Worth a late 3rd if he could rotate through midfield and didn’t cost too much
Upgrade on Kent and co
Apparently we too are into him from BF

The Lipinski rule of 5 doesn't relate to how many possessions he gets.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Think I would prefer Narkle if we were looking at a fringe midfielder.
