No excuse other than bias. Countless frees ignored. Just rubbish umpiring.

Not like they were bad/weak tackles either. That 2nd quarter was complete domination for nothing.

Ratts basically asked, if the Cats players were disposing of the ball with one hand, in a tackle, how was that a legal disposal ?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Few missed htb decisions, couple of throws and a trip

From what I saw

Couple of high tackles that shoulda been paid against us too.

We lost due to appalling goal kicking

This is not a goal kicking thread

Again 85 tackles for 3 frees ...... absolute disgrace

There was a period of play where they were twice caught without trying to dispose of it in or forwardline and just hatched it followed by a Selwood throw followed by 2 clears incorrect disposals followed by ...... a Geelong goal

There was a period of one minute in the second quarter where they missed 4 holding the balls and 2 blatant throws.
But none of them were paid because our kicking was bad.

Just missed so many and clearly favoured cats

Thought he did that well Ratten
Clearly disgusted
Maggots disgraceful tonight
I’d like the club to issue a please explain because that standard of umpiring just can’t be ignored ..,

Perception is a lot to do with it. Umpires just love a winner and, after all, we are “only” St Kilda and Geelong are flag fancies.

We’ll get a better run once we are a better side.

It stinks, but that is how umpires are.

Sadly truth in that but this is a professional sport if we can see that what is the AFL doing to fix that because it’s sub standard umpiring
For a senior coach to have to say “I’m not sure it’s worth tackling...” is damning and we all saw it
Ratten ain’t an umpire bashed....he’s honest
Scott summed it “I think we got lucky tonight”
Yup you did Chris from our forwards and yellow maggots

Watch the Bulldogs get a HTB free every time they lay a finger on our players next week. Could be Ratten's "leave the ego in the locker room" moment.

That was disgraceful. Umpires just too slow.

Selwood is protected.

It's a joke.

It will make for an interesting game next week when we play a team who won a flag being allowed the throw the ball.

The Dogs make the boundary umpires look like they are handballing the ball back in to play.

Hawkins no 50 for Howard moving on the mark.

No free for jumping on Touheys head over the boundary.

12-13 frees, mistakes went both ways

What’s the correct ratio for tackles-to-free kicks?

5.17

If only we had an ex-player umpiring to help us out...

Of course you’re correct again (as usual)
We got a fantastic run from the umpires all night

Rattan has no idea about the game
You should offer to assist him on understanding the rules and how the game is supposed to be played

Re-read my post, did I say mistakes didn’t go against us?

Maybe Ratten and all his assistants should be focussing more in 5.17 than a few umpiring mistakes.
