Marsh in is a bit of a surprise.

Makes us quicker though.

How stiff is Battle though after his superb season last year.

AFL.COM.AU has a more sensible team lineup.

Marsh really impressed me in the bushfire relief match at Morwell. Hope he plays well.

There would already be a few enquiries to Battle's manager......

A guy on FB reckons Marsh might be matched with Howe, to run him off his feet and take heat off King and Skunk.
I agree

Superb? A good season in a different position than expected. He really needed to show a lot more at either end. I don't think he's stiff, he needs to show more than others.

Last year was a low bar, IMO.

Battle one injury away from coming straight back in.

Plus you'd think they will rest Max at some stage.

Wouldn't that mean we need crumbers?

PS..So happy to see the Tigers smashed and to reflect on their draw with the Pies last week as just two mediocre teams being mediocre. Carna Sainters,

I'm optimistic about Marsh. Have been since watching his WAFL highlights. I see him as a faster Jason Blake type.

However, he still needs to prove himself in skill level, rather than pure physicality. This is why I would take Battle ahead of Marsh all day long, no matter the role you want them to play (except as a ruck rover, where Marsh would be better).

Gotta trust they're choosing the right team though. I'm just one of the many who don't want to see Josh Battle lose all the momentum from last season.

Between Lonie, Butler, Hind, Billings and Gresh I think we have enough smalls to play through the forward line. You won't find many talls who are better at ground level than King and Membrey either. I like the Marsh inclusion - adds speed, strength, intensity and versatility. Would be happy if his job is to shut down Howe and try to snag a goal or two.

I think Marsh is a good selection if Membury and King are well held he gives us some X factor around goals.

Any news on Webster? Just saw him jump into his ute down at RSEA after this morning's meeting.

Also saw King - hope he gets a pay rise soon - he drives a little Hyundai - even I'd feel uncomfortable in it & I'm 5'8

Didn't he snap his neck break dancing?
Or did he partner Michael Jackson?
