Fellow Saint Leigh Montagna has not been as lucky, being charged with tripping Garrick Ibbotson and facing a one-match ban unless he accepts an early guilty plea.

The tripping charge attracts 80 demerit points but because he has carry-over points that lifts the penalty to 125 points and a one-match ban. An early guilty plea reduces the penalty to 93.75 demerit points and a reprimand.
Agree- take the reprimand

Good news with Kosi getting off

If he fights it and loses does it mean he won't have any carry-over points?

I'd be tempted to do that just so he doesn't have the chance to get suspended over something minimal later in the year.

Nope - still eligible for the Brownlow - Initial charge only drew 80 points - therefore is eligible. If he fights and loses he still has 25 carry over points. Therefore anything higher than a 75 point charge will get him a further week. If he takes the plee he has 93.75 carry over points. Take the plea lad and make sure that you don't get anything coz you are about as close to a week as possible to be.

Actually Geelong have a decent percentage + a win ahead. They are unlikely to lose again after playing us unless Carlton can do it again. I'd still be happy to be second and have a home final + double chance without pressure of being minor premiers.

Really!! That's an interesting stat. We'll that can be our excuse if we lose next week.
And if we win, while we'll just have to be the first in 8 years to change that  That is of course assuming that Geelong will be a grandfinalist which looks pretty likely at the moment. But as we know too well, you have to win on the day/night....they have to get there, as do we....

Stats have nothing to do with cause & effect.....

But if you are into superstitous mumbo-jumbo....

Had schnieder, milne or mini kicked straight then we would have won....but maybe they deliberly missed because they knew about this stat?

So I am guessing the guy who grabbed Koz's foot in the first quarter didn't get reported

Joey accepted and took the deduction

ST KILDA'S Leigh Montagna will be available for the Saints’ much-anticipated round-13 clash against Geelong at the MCG on June 25, after accepting a reprimand for tripping Fremantle’s Garrick Ibbotson.
