Harvey pregame address

Post: # 822464Post saint patrick »

In my dreams but how powerful would be that be in terms of firing the boys up before the game

Just hope he is in the rooms...would have the same effect I'm sure

Don't mean to be rude or disrespectful but how many of the 21 wins has Harvey been in the rooms for to give a speech?

Understand where you are coming from Lenny  ...Not where Ross would go I,m sure ...but you can understand the romance of it  ...may'be his presence would be enough.

In the end they will prepare in the best way they know how.Good enough for me 8-)

I think it would best to keep it as normal as possible, why build up the nerves by highlighting the fact it's a bigger than normal occasion. As Ross said, it's just another game....

It made no difference last year...why would it help this year?

THIS years team needs to make it own history and win it for themselves..

Do it for Banger is for the fans...not the playing group...who need to do it for themselves, their team-mates & their coach. If not ...we have lost already.

You make a good argument and in essence I agree and I'm sure Ross will keep it as normal as possible.Just a throw away, my imagination getting the better of me...

And in all fairness to Harves, talking has never been his strong point.

His dedication, hard work and 30+ touches a game has always been his voice.

Not disrespecting Harvs but he has nothing to do with this 22 this year. He isnt even at our club. We need to win this game and harvs isnt part of it.

Actually agree with you plugger love the man but we have moved on when Harves returns to the club thats when it would be appropriate.

LOL!

Too true unfortunately, Harves is not a great orator, bless his cotton socks.

We shouldn't need motivational speech from the champ tonight. With all due respect, there's a pretty big prize for tonights winner. I hope they try ang keep it as normal as possible, even though its not.

I think a few choice words to the group from Max would be as poignant as anyone else could produce, and would be a a bit more relevant than, with all due respect to Harvs, a speech from an opposition team's assistant coach.
