If Ray had not been so good for us....then the pick up of Zac as a rookie pick would be the pick of last years draft (quality relative to pick position that is).

As it is, it is still looking inspired.

i wonder how Nathan Carroll rates Zac?
I guess it all depends if Nathan gets foxtel in his cell i guess....
:D

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

One aspect of his game that really impresses me is his composure.
He doesnt just grab the ball and blast away, he makes space, and then moves the ball on, which is why his effectiveness stats are pretty good.
Yes he might get "holding the ball" a couple of times, but I will wear that trade off. Hope other Saints fans do too.

Has done everything asked of him so far with great endeavour and enthusiasm. Have a real concern that the Blake Dawson combination in the last line lacks agility and looks very uncomfortable when the opposition go smaller or when they turn them around and run them back towards goal. Looked to me last night like Eade was trying to get this happening but the players he wanted to use deep forward were the same guys he needed up the field to break through the press and so it didnt work as well as planned. Max provides more variety and flexibility to the backline and is still sorely missed IMO.

Maybe this year?

Yeah he does.
But that is assuming he is going to come back with the same ground speed.
The player who I want in the backline is Dempster, again assuming he comes back 100%, but we owe him a finals series.

One of the bests things about Zac this year is all the Hawks fans bleating that they are going so badly due to injuries to their backman (though they are no worse than us (Max, Dempster, Gose, Raph....) and they gave us Zac for nothing.
