Alicia Gorey has pulled the pin on reading the evening news for the ABC in Perth.
Gorey, who also has a regular gig presenting the drive slot on ABC regional radio and a popular daily spot on the radio with fellow host Russell Woolf, delivered the news yesterday to ABC boss Kim Jordan.
The reporter-turned-newsreader came to Perth from Melbourne back in 2002 to work for Triple J.
Gorey, whose boyfriend recently took up a job in Melbourne, is heading back to Melbourne to work as a senior reporter for Channel 9.
