I've got another one if that's ok...

How many scoreless quarters have there been (both teams)? Details if you can.

Not sure now, but I am fairly sure there was one to decide the first every premiership in 1897. There was no Grandfinal. But in the final pool match the Bombers beat Melbourne 1.8.14 to 0.8.8 which included a scoreless last quarter, thus giving Essendon the flag instead of the second placed Geelong.

Where did you get that info Jnr? My Great Grandfather may have played in that game. I know he played in the GF that year(kicked all Collingwoods goals and still didn't get in the best players).

And a dispute between players and officials almost stopped the team taking the field in one game in 1911!!!

A what year?

B who did we play?

C where was it played?

D why did we lose points?
A. 1909
B. We beat Geelong 6.13.49 to 6.12.48
C. Corio Oval
D. We played a suspended player. (W.Stewart who was in our side had been suspended for a week on June 3rd that year and was therefore inelligible to play at any level. But he was selected anyway.)
We also forfeited points for the Doug Cox debacle too.
