Great trainers- names you hear?

Post: # 512819Post saintbrat »

as always it rankles with me when people mention 'great at.....' in some form and neglect to mention a saint who fits :roll:

as usual Harves is 'left out'
be it the 'best ever' hird, voss, buckley'-- Harves always left off- I know he is just so much better and a class of his own :wink:

the new one that I have been hearing- ' one of the best trainers'
and the mention Crawford and several others and yet Harves who is renowned for his training is always left off.
good to see comments like this ;
Veteran Robert Harvey continues to be among the best-performed runners on the track, while comeback forward Fraser Gehrig is settling well after a delayed start.

the other saint that seems to surprise people is Fraser- and this is shown in comments from the current coaching staff who almost note it as if when outside they club they assumed he wasn't due to his demeanour.

:?: Who are others known as great trainers within their clubs?

Ken Whiffen.

Trainer #1.

Will be sadly missed after his retirement at the end of 2007.

check the peanuts photos,

Wasn't that a calcified corkie that caused Snipper's problems?

I reckon Craig Bradley would have trained exceptionally hard at Carlton.

Kenny Whiffen - Yabby Jeans's runner in the 66 flag. Has been there as long as Moorabbin itself. The club wouldn't be the same without him. No wonder the players talked him out of it.

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.
