Butler a shadow of his former self.
What do you mean ?
He's having a good season
Yes but not in front of goals. Because of Higgins, Butler has had to reinvent himself as a defensive forward. With Higgo missing, Butts needs to step up the goal work.
Butts can't kick to a team mate

Always kicks 2 metres short or 2 m over their heads

If we can get a 2nd hand boot studder for Gresham, take it. He's playing like he knows he's ruined his next contract. If he's had a tackle it would be because he couldn't get out of the road.

That said, he's got a few mates. Very disappointing.

David Misson talked about a grand final appearance as recently as this week (when discussing Max King).

I think it's the first time anyone at the club has mentioned the F word.

I know right?

Every bloody week. Bomb into the 50. It’s why we look like a low scoring team. We actually kick goals when we lower our eyes.

One thing that is glaringly obvious at stoppage

If you encounter a dominant ruckman ALWAYS play back shoulder

Concede the inside tap because you can always come forward to tackle.
But if you play inside your opponent and they push you under the ball, they will get you on the outside!

Rowell, Miller and Anderson are running out of stoppage because of the way we are setting up.

Crouch gets sucked too far in

David King says where we kick to inside our F50 is predictable. Guess what? I know six blokes who can't predict it.

What chance North next week with Clarkson returning as coach.
Right now, we will struggle to win another game.

They bomb it long inside 50 during match sim at training, it's like they train it, they play it.

Sinclair needs to go back to HB. Give Stocker or Windhager a stint in the guts.
Battle has been OK but is needed in the F50, then we can let Owens have a run in the middle as well.

Crouch has had 16 touches. But he's laid off some terrible handballs and missed his targets by foot.

Once again our midfield is getting embarrassed. Slow, unimaginative, with mediocre skills.

Gresham simply doesn't think beyond "how can I get a goal here?" He gives our forwards no chance with the way he kicks the ball

The year of exploration is revealing a lot, I'm sure.

There's no point playing Windhager where he is. Get him in the middle or in VFL.

How many of Crouch’s 16 possessions have been effective or damaging

He’s a scrappy player
So is Byrnes
So is Gresham

They are not classy players

Suns players getting caught at stoppages are trying to break tackles and end up handing the footy to a team mate. That's holding the ball
