So the board at the Gold Coast factored that in and decided better to cut him now

The players will therefore have plenty of time to get over it and be committed to their preseason and ready to tackle Round 1 2024
Players re-signed because of him.
I acknowledge that but what is your point? Are you suggesting a mass exodus?

Remember our players when GT was sacked? A lot were pissed off and some took a while to get over it, but they were contracted and had no choice
I'm just stating what I read.

I have been listening to SEN. Callback on Dew sacking is hilarious. Some geeza called in claiming the team’s issues all stem from the club’s theme song. 🤦😂

What are these Gold Coast players made of? The coach most of them grew up with has just been given the arse. I'd like to think we go out and hit them hard and pulverise them this Saturday.

They're a plastic club, time to make a statement.

Plastic yes
Statement….? .judging by the past, (Spuds games) who knows how they’ll show up?

I hope this is a Ross Lyon grind-
It may be dull viewing, but a trench warfare slog might see us home..

That said, it might be a goal fest!

The players loved Dew ‘we’ suspect out in philistinasthan.

But being pros, and being Gold Coast, they know it can all turn quickly.

I don’t think they’ll rally although I feel for Stuart Dew in a Brett Ratterny kinda way. He had a real crack, and he isn’t one of those ‘elite coaches’ like RTB, Hardwick, the Scott bros, Sheedy, Parkin etc.

Bad news, without Dew as a handicap the Sun's players may be a real threat.
Especially if they like their caretaker coach Steven King.
Or has Hard Dick been appointed already.

Apparently not, there has been 14 recent cases and 6 teams won but don't let that stand in the way of fate. We are St.Kilda

I don't think it so much a case of players putting on a good show but the players being released from a disciplined system of play that simply did not work.
A coach dumped because he was an incompetent and inflexible with an ego that refused to admit he was wrong and change his system.

Six out of 14 struggling, demoralised teams is pretty good. And GCS isn't even at the bottom of the ladder.

That's not usually the case either. These are teams that started well and fell away too many times. They are middle tier teams who aren't improving. Like us and Ratten.

So Caro has a pipeline inside the GCS, much like she had for many years at St Kilda. Is there a common denominator at the Suns who was at the Saints?

I suspected Nettlefold to be our leak.

I went to a clairvoyant today and asked a question. She said, who is Stuart Dew.
She did know who Stephen King was and said there is a chance this could end up a horror story.

The next step in the conspiracy theory is the AFL/Gillion tell the umpires its team must win this week to save face for the Suns Board, who are a subset of the AFL football dept.
Seriously this Hardwick/Dew is very troubling integrity wise for the competition.

With Stephen King being the interim coach, I don't think too many ruckmen have made the transition into successful senior coaching.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Get a grip, some of you.

Since 2002, 12 clubs have lost or knifed a coach during the season.
The next game- the new coach had a win 4 times.
FOUR.
Out of 12.

That's ONE-THIRD.

stop with the drama

I am expecting the reverse. Most players who signed on would now be looking for the exit. The results will fall apart until Hardwick arrives. It is a plastic club.

It just struck me...

Coaches are remarkably short, considering they are ex-footballing pros. I wonder if this happens in other sports?
