The Flux Editorial: Lizard Boy Murphy

Flat out.

Word is, a prominent member of our club rang their Skunk's counterpart personally after the match.

This was to discuss Lizard Boy Murphy having expressed an opinion to the effect of.........

"The Hammer being of southern European/Middle Eastern origin,
and also his bearing a resemblance to a particular part of the human reproductive anatomy,
though, not a part normally possessed by blokes."

Of course, Lizard Boy's choice of words, whilst far more succinct, was also far less tactful.

Reckon the phone call is a smart way to handle it.

However, still gobsmacked that Lizard Murphy can king hit an opponent (bloody) way off the ball, and not be cited!!!

Fair-bloody-dinkum!!! Seemingly, it wasn't even so much as 'looked at'.

Also, the strike was to the neck area, which can be potentially far more dangerous than a single head hit.

And to say there was 'insufficient force' is a sad bloody joke!
- Firstly, how can one possibly claim that from the available footage?
- Secondly, a blow across the front of the neck doesn't require much force to have potential severe consequences.

In 1990, his first senior season, Gareth John polled the most Brownlow votes for Swans, but the following April he almost died from injuries received in a ruck duel against Essendon. John, then 19, received a fractured and crushed larynx and damage to his vocal cords after being struck in the throat in a collision with Simon Madden. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/ple ... gdvncl.htm

Forget who it was (apologies  ), but one fellow ZZ poster has claimed to know Lizard Murphy. And defended the bloke's character.

Ok, fair enough.

Well, here's Lizard Boy's chance to prove our fellow poster correct.
- Come out and apologise to The Hammer for provoking the whole incident through what you said and did.
- Come out and say that you're sorry to see that The Hammer has ended up copping 3 weeks.
- Apologise for not coming forward sooner.
- And as a gesture re not speaking up sooner, offer to pay The Hammer the match payments he'll miss for those 3 games. It'll be considerably less than your match payments, f****r.
(Should that potentially provoke a precedence that Gestapo HQ doesn't like, then, offer to pay that amount to a charity/s of The Hammer's choice.)

Do that, and a lot of bad blood will be washed away. And, two reputations will be boosted.

Happy 30th anniversary.

Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

If what Murphy says is true it should be out in the mainstream media Collingwood is in enough trouble with there past racism behaviour.
This has to be called out if it us that made a comment we would still be hearing about it don't let them off the hook stand up to the big clubs or they will continually screw us around.
