Zak Jones - Started the year as a required player but has ended on the fringe with some average performances.

Seb Ross - Has more than held his own in the best 22 this year, but may be on the decline with age.

NWM - Has a repultation for his foot skills but has butchered more than he has made (I say right as he drills a perfect ball I50 to the captain)

Jack Billings - Is on the verge of being a depth player, may not see another contract.

Dan Butler - 2022 focused on defensive forward pressure over scoring and saw him well behind in goals and goal assists on previous years.

Ben Long - Up and down, a man without a mission as Battle was last year. Can he find a spot and make a name?

Jack Bytel - On the fringe, some injuries, but cracking form in the VFL. Needs to establish or go home.

I think Billings and Jones have the most to worry about in relation to keeping their place in the team.

Ross has had a very good year. I expect the same again next year

Hope Bytel stays and get a decent run at it next year

Butler and Higgins have been victims of our atrocious ball movement and even worse delivery.

Ross - top 3 in B and F, only 28, say no more.

Butler - still a dangerous player, will be more so with a better forward structure and game plan

Thoughts on above:
- Ross has had a top 10 B & F year .
- Long - improved significantly and seemed liked by the group
- Butler - like all small forwards a victim of how the bigs play
- Bytel - missed large chunk via injury. lots of rumours but as far as i know they are keyboard rumours?

Billings - an interesting one and probably only guy with trade value. Questionis where we are at are we better with him or without?

Jones - Does provide a point of difference but defensive efforts can be poor . Needs to re invent himself a bit but would be willing to part with him for a late second rounder.

who of Hill or Billings would you keep? Presuming interest in both. For me Hill stays, Billings goes. Mason Wood has shown up Billings as a wingman, Billings couldn't hit the clutch goal not the bullet pass to the lead so as a half forward adds little, his marking apparently claimed as a strength is 50/50 so even if he is now considered a depth player if someone comes calling I would answer - YES
