OUT Common Sense (not sure had ever been in)
Good luck Hunter, fingers crossed Dunstan & Wood can be amongst our best again & Webster negates Papley.

Re: Team v Swans
Remember the Grant Thomas 'Well-o-meter', the personal index tracker every player has to keep? Boy, would I like to see those scores when they announce the team.
Will be interested to see the 'perceived effort' this game, along with the fourth quarter fade. Often we start off like crap and then come back a bit, but this short and stubby ground and Buddy, anything could happen.
Perhaps, we will finally click!
Our best has to be better or as good as the Swans best, surely!

Re: Team v Swans
Margin vs Swans, and Winner
Swans by 34 pts
Buddy to get subbed off with an injury just after half-time
Papley to get 5
You know I'm right

Re: Team v Swans
I’ve tipped us. Not sure why, suspect we’ll get done tbh. Our best should be better than theirs but as we know we are miles off our best

Re: Team v Swans
If Ratts and his oppo research crew have spent any time this week watching how the Swans move the footy and put plans in place then we will win.
Swans will be ready (as are all other AFL coaches) for the bomb to the top of the square. If we can be cunning, run the footy and not bomb but hit leading targets then we will win.
Not confident we have the right coach. We will see.

Re: Team v Swans
Last yr we beat them by 53 pts.
Different team.
Where did that team go?
Injuries, yes.
Lack of confidence, maybe.
Selfishness and not playing for your team-mates?
100 %

Re: Team v Swans
I wonder if he will get a run in the midfield. We need some creativity in there. The incumbents are all good players, but of a similar type.
Need some play-makers, which is where we miss Gresham/Jones. A bit of flair wouldn’t go astray.

Re: Team v Swans
Clark won't play midfield. Not after a groin strain.
Too much running.
He'll get under 65% game time, will be on bench a fair bit.
I don't see Ratts changing Clark's role, just yet

Re: Team v Swans
For some reason I have a feeling we will play well tomorrow? I dont know why as our form doesn't warrant the faith and our history of winning at the SCG is terrible.
I think our midfield will match up reasonably well against the Swans as long as they can stop Parker & Kennedy sneaking forward and kicking goals. Buddy has always troubled us, but hopefully Howard can nullify him? It wont matter what parts of the ground we win if our forward line doesnt find their mojo and kick straight, otherwise we all know the outcome...

Re: Team v Swans
Again we'll miss Paton, quite possibly our greatest loss this season. Buddy will only get off the chain if our defence is in disarray & that will happen if our midfield gets chopped up.

Quick recovery from a groin strain - a week - so maybe it was just a twinge or a false alarm. Any case, when he is fully fit, let’s hope we waste no time in getting him into the midfield.
It’s far easier to find a half back flanker than a potential gun midfielder.

i fear a belting from a team that doesnt do beltings
I fear more wasted opportunities in front of goal.
I fear more heartache
