Just wish we had a few more. I know we have injuries but we seem to be lacking real depth. That said hannas, Paton, gresh, Marshall, Jones all out really hurts our mid stocks
Me too, pleased with B1 and B2 that is. In particular Byrnes, he's just done a couple of things in the last couple of his games that catch the eye. After is debut game I thought he was miles away.

At the start of this season I didn't think either of these boys would get more than a few games because I thought we were a top 4 capable side, and if they were getting a game it was either due to them forcing their way in or because our season had turned to crap.

Whist I'm still refusing to officially call our season crap, the silver lining to this point is the games B1 and B2 are getting.

It could hold us in good stead for 2022 when hopefully we have far less injury issues.

Geary smashed them in the final last year. He was a huge part of that win.

B1 and B2 have showed poise n composure when they have the ball.
They have low possession numbers at the moment, because they're so young and haven't learnt which spots to run to, also young bodies perhaps.
But they show more than enough for me.
They get played because of our injuries, if we had more available, they'd likely be managed to avoid burnout.

The days of a teenager playing at a high level are long gone.
Harvey as a 17 y.o. for example

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

I am wondering whether we can be competitive or collapse like we have several times this year.

Will we play as poorly as vs the Injectors?
11 tackles in the first half?

Not likely.
Effort will be there, in most games.
Skill level, composure, decision-making, missing goals- that's in the toilet most weeks.

Ratts has adopted Richo's mindset of pressure/effort and hoping that the results will come.

Captain Joseph Smith of the White Star Line harboured similar hopes on a cold night in 1912.
All will be well, just forge on ahead.
Yeah. Great plan.
Then let the band play 'Nearer My God To Thee' as Season 2021 sinks beneath the waves

As long as we don't have to see our Leo and Kate copulate after a win.

Geary is a real pro with his preparation, but it's hard to see him running this game out. The frantic pace the Dogs play at is tough enough to handle for a guy at peak fitness, let alone guy coming off a broke leg with one game of VFL behind him

This

The longer games are hurting most players across teams
St Kilda has looked really off the pace in some games,
So Gears, who is older, coming back from injury, coming into the furious pace of the well-oiled and Trelour, Libby enhanced WB who are hellbent on avenging last years loss, will be in the perfect place to exercise his Buddha-like Captain calm...

And stand there in the forward pocket like a monk.

All the Bulldogs will stand in a trance/worship, silenced and mesmerized..in calm silence, as the Saints exercise their training drill like execution and win, 7.29.71 to the Bulldogs 0.3.3. (Three rushed behinds from fumbles in circle work)

You'll have to ask Gags why he rubbed his bell when McKernan was available in the supp period.
