Our Last Big Loss

Post: # 1894184Post Newman »

No wonder we were so angry at Saturday's result. The last time we lost by 75 points was actually in 2016. And that was a 103 pt loss to West Coast. It was Sunday, 15 May - West Coast 20.12 (132) def. St Kilda 3.11 (29). So despite the fact that we were a pretty ordinary team from 2017-2019 ... at least we weren't disgraced by a 75 point margin. Let's hope we'll see a different effort this weekend against the Eagles.

Maybe we'll only lose by 74 points against the Weagles, is that classed as an improvement on the Bombers game ?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Here in Perth, the media's been talking about Andrew Gaff having half his normal output.

In the bad old days, our FQF boys used to 'run guys into form'.

How about we chuck a lazy $100 on Gaff to be top possession-getter

The 70 point loss to Port in Shanghai was pretty bad though and there isn't much difference score wise.

This was a worse performance than many of those

A flogging when a flogging is expected is par for the course

Even a flogging when your just expected to lose, is a bad day... as is a loss when you’re expected to win.

But to lose by 12 goals when you’re $1.25 favourites and the opposition is without 8 of their starting 22
That’s next level!!!

it was a reaming the likes of which has not been seen since the saints ran richmond off their feet in 2017!
have a feeling that's where the similarities end however.

You summed it up B.M. And yes the China game was woeful ... but seeing as it was their first game in China - I'd give them some slack.

Gaff had 36 disposals v Port Does he normally get 72? Lol
