Gold Coast issues...Saints win.
Possible trouble at GC might make it easier for Ben King to come home.

Will most probably blow over, but any reason to get Ben back in Melbourne at the Saints is a win.

Unless Ben King was trying to hide behind a lot plant there is no logic to your statement, just wishful thinking. Yes, it will blow over. Or flow over.Leo.J wrote: ↑Mon 21 Sep 2020 6:25pm Possible trouble at GC might make it easier for Ben King to come home.

Of course it’s wishful thinking....but for the fact that this video made it to the media would suggest that some are not happy with what’s going on at GC.
There’ll be pressure on Ben King to stay there from GC and the AFL, but if there’s issues it may be easier for him to justify a return to Melbourne.

Re: Gold Coast issues...Saints win.
I would say the bigger lure for Ben if anything would be that his brother will be lining up for the club they supported all their lives in finals in a week or so whilst he himself is part of the soulless franchise club fast tracked to nowhere.
If the Saints can remain a finals fixture for the next year or two, I reckon that might tip the scales eventually

But a bit of in fighting at GC doesn’t hurt our prospects either.

The sooner we get Ben out of Gold Coast the easier it will be to reprogram him.

Now we know why here is so much Dew on ground at Gold Coast.
Sprinkler being used regularly.

Well I suppose it wasn’t as necessary when all the pubs closed at 6!

Spot on. Ben’s been marooned on GCS island for two years carving out a nice career and maturing nicely but, at the end of that, his twin will be the first to play a final ... after 17 games ... for their childhood club ... in their shared hero’s number.skeptic wrote: ↑Mon 21 Sep 2020 7:22pm I would say the bigger lure for Ben if anything would be that his brother will be lining up for the club they supported all their lives in finals in a week or so whilst he himself is part of the soulless franchise club fast tracked to nowhere.

Re: Gold Coast issues...Saints win.
Next year will be a big one for both teams. We have set a bar now to play finals while GC will have another preseason into a very talented young list. Having Rowell back will make them play an inch taller so it depends how much they develop and whether Dew coaching doesn't rain on their parade and he can get the last drop out of them.Saintmatt wrote: ↑Mon 21 Sep 2020 10:27pmSpot on. If things don't go according to plan and we're pushing Top 4...
B King may well weigh up his options.

I've had many. Especially when out on the tear.
But I'm not a senior coach of an AFL side.
Not a great look, but at the end of the day what does it matter...

Re: Gold Coast issues...Saints win.
Interestingly his stats are damn near identical to Max.
Disposals Ben 7.1 Max 7.4
Kicks Ben 5.2 Max 4.4
Goals Ben 1.5 Max 1.3
Marks Ben 2.8 Max 2.9
TACKLES Ben 0.4 Max 1.3
He doesnt have a position of his own yet. They are throwing him around all over the place and really he still is yet to settle somewhere. They are not utilising him very well in my opinion.
But I mean..
Look at this shyt. These guys are dead set freaks.

They will chuck him in the ruck next year.
