Has to be the most exciting prospect we’ve had for a while...

Has far surpassed any expectations I had on him for this year... frankly was just hoping he wouldn’t look fragile. One of the things I like about him is that he seems to have a good measure of what to attempt and what not to. Very little kamikaze pack busting which frankly I don’t think he’s suited to.

Seems destined to become an elite forward of the comp.

Dixon and Hawkins listed are 103kg. King at 93kg. When he puts on 7-8kg he will be unstoppable!

Ben and Max both drop marks, due to lack of body strength when contact is made. That will change. The prospect of both Kings is very attractive and would love to see it happen one fine day ...

They are power forwards. I’m not sure that will be Max’s strength. Having a look at his skill level and agility on the weekend, I don’t want to lose any of that. He’s a freak athlete for someone his size. Don’t tie him to the square, let him roam and he will be unstoppable.

Of course, it takes a career but who was playing better in their 2nd year?

Big ask to be better than Riewoldt and he can fail to measure up but still go on to be an elite champion of the game.

IIRC, Riewoldt was more or less elite into his second season and was further along then King is now.

I'm pretty sure that Roo had an injury ravaged first year and won the Rising Star in his second year playing at CHB.
Kosi won the Rising Star in his (and Roo's) first season playing at CHB but then had an injury ravaged second year.

I think that’s correct... am trying to remember, the Herald Sun had a vote poll for the most wanted player in the league that Riewoldt won. Edged out Judd.
Caused a stir at the time and Nick said in his book that he was quite embarrassed about it.

Think it occurred at the end of his second season

Ben at CHF and Max at FF with Butler, Gresh and Rozee floating around the forward line.

But brother no longer eligible.
Max remains eligible because he did not play last year.

Great that he gets the nomination.

Still needs to tear a game apart. Should have done it against Essendon really.

If he rips one apart from this point on, especially with the sides we have to play, it will be massive.

Yes, Ben received a nomination in 2019 but played more than 10 games last year so ineligible this year.

I'd be giving him a rest. If it weren't for the Pandemic he wouldn't have played as many games by now.

Says who? I think we've established by now that what you claim will / will not happen is way off the mark.

He can have a rest this year, many players have. He has earned his spot every week by clearly being our best tall forward.

You've embarrassed yourself by saying he's had an average year and should be dropped 2 days before he gets a rising star nom, just own it.

But Hill and Gresh shouldn't be in the team according to you....interesting take on the game.

Dude, you now can't even get events that have happened right...

Said Gresh needed a week off because of his horrendous set shot / general kicking. That's about it.

While you've tried to write off the likes of Howard, King and now Bytel, at least own it.

So using your logic to its obvious conclusion, shouldn't Kingy be dropped every time he drops a mark or shanks a set shot.
