LENNY HAYES

Post: # 1825307Post barks4eva »

I'm thinking and hopeful that once the Giants season is done, Lenny Hayes will be announced as a new St.kilda assistant coach.

In fact I'd be surprised if this didn't happen.

Anyone else thinking this has a feel of inevitability ?

Very strong intuitive feeling.

Have not heard anything from anyone.

His family are all in Sydney so I think he is happy living there.

Lennys depleted midfield beat Bangers fully loaded midfield despite losing the hit outs 112 to 4 (or that’s what it looked like).

Lenny’s mids won the clearances 50 odd to 30 odd while getting smashed in the hit outs.

What does that mean?
Plenty here pointed out Bangers work with Collingwoods mids was a reason he should have got the Saints job.

Should it have been Lenny?

Does it mean anything at all?
Personally I say no.

No, the only link I can see is a former champion of the club.

I also don’t see the fascination with bringing back former players to coach unless they are the best at their craft.

If Lenny is a gun coach I hope we get him, if he’s not he can stay where he is.

I thought Budda Hocking was getting the credit for Coll. midfield/clearances.

I’m more concerned about GWS overtaken us on premierships soon.

His wife's family are all in Melbourne and she's not happy living in Sydney!

I don’t know how anyone likes living in Shytney. Nice spot for a short break but that’s enough.

If I was Lenny, I’d probably prefer to coach a star studded midfield in a premiership team, than a poor midfield in a bottom 4 team.

Was going to make a thread, but this thread will do.

GWS has Lenny.

Richmond's assistant coaches are Xavier Clarke and Andrew McQualter.

Fair bit of 2009-10 intel there.
