Training 28/3

Post: # 1780508Post 66Iwasthere »

Couple of nice things at training today:

* Guard of honor for Max King as he joined the training group for first time. Skipper had rigged up a makeshift banner. Cheers for Max when he did something well.
* Hanners running on his own and Lade went and joined him for about 10 mins.
* Carlisle welcomed back by the guys. In training gear and walking laps but proppy when bending over. Was happy to be out there.

Possible changes to the team:
* Brown in and Joyce out
* Marshall in and Pierce out

Thanks for the update. Nice to have something actually footy related to read and muse about. Hopefully, they trained with intensity and are up and about to knock off The Injectors on Saturday.

If we drop pierce after a 6 possession game after being outpointed by a quality ruckman, what does that say about selection integrity with Longer basically gifted a whole season where he would have averaged 5 posi’s, less than a mark a game and zero goals...

It just seems as clear as f****** day that Marshall and pierce will both play better when in the same side!! We are a developing side ffs

Good news Paddy was there and Jake. Well done Max.

A so called expert predicted Paddy and Robbo would both retire from the game on the same day/week. Didn't happen.

Well for their own sake I hope they both retire. If they don't, then one day during a match while on field (God forbid), I can see Robo having a heat attack and Paddy having a stroke. As I said, for their own good both of them should never play again.

NeXus Nick is back but where is Joffaboy????

Finally, some common sense. Thanks for the post.

Well, Robbo looks like he might be back for 2020 and is only sitting out 2019 at this stage. Part of the reason he decided to sit out 2019 is so we could recruit a player.

As for Paddy, who knows at this stage.

If both want to retire or play on then that is their call. They would be getting A grade medical advice and we have to leave up to the experts .

Quite a few players suffer from a heat attack, plenty of liquids and an ice vest should help. Are we playing up in Qld early next year? Seriously, leave it to the specialists who know the full details.
