Confirmation that the rebuild has failed.
Matter of time for Richo.

Yep this sums it up. Goodness me. I have seen many many bad losses over 6 decades , but this was right down there with the worst of them. Very poor early, and unbelievably it got worse and worse and worse. Skills, tactics, effort - all totally lacking. Dispiriting . Disheartening.

The bigger picture being if you think we are getting a marquee game like this again anytime in the near future, you need your head read. Well done St.Kilda way to show em we deserve those Sunday arvo games week in week out.

We are in trouble. Real trouble. If it’s embarrising now imagine what it will be like in four games time ? Oh well another season gone and some more high draft picks to squander. Shattered

How bad are we. I don't want to rant but F*** me. Did you see the game. We gotta pants by potential wooden spooners. We play Adelaide next week. I'll be here to watch us lose by 100 point's. We have no structure no plan and no hope. And I am very drunk and I know this

Not sure there is any way to paint a positive story here.
Full strength playing wooden spoon contender.
Our game style is one dimensional and a complete failure. 3 big forwards doesn’t work. Didn’t work in JlT but we persist.
Going to be a long season this one.

We are in diabolical shape.

The whole point of our "no stars" policy was to build an even list with no flaws and would be competitive in every game.

Today, we were flogged by a wooden spoon contender. I can't even begin to express how bad this is.

It's not about "keeping the faith" - we've been doing that our whole lives.

It's about demanding better, rather than just casually saying things like "we have to believe" or "now is the time for loyalty".

Having loyalty to mediocrity only breeds mediocrity. And part of that loyalty involves having the courage to call out something that isn't good enough, rather than just being part of the herd.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Left the ground and going to be a s**t train ride home. Today showed how bad our list is. I thought we might finish middle of the pack this year but we are much worse. We are a very poor team and please no damn excuses on what was on show today. Billings is so soft it's actually sad to watch and as for McCartin, his skill and pace is VFL level. A team that also has a Nathan Brown as their no. 1 full back is not going to go anywhere. Apart from Jack Steven and Carlisle in patches, we have no-one that any of the top teams would want.

No future in Weller & Gilbert, we are heading for bottom 4 so let's try some more young guys out.

In White, Dunstan, Coffield, Austin, Hickey

Out Brown, Stevens, Steele, Longer, Clark

Surely the CEO has to look at this and say there are some fundamental problems with the quality of The football department and coaching panel and some serious issues in the recruiting department. Finnis has been there long enough he needs to start planning the changes.

We can need to line up some new heads of recruitment ASAP and start the process of reviewing the football department now. It’s just not acceptable.

Says a lot doesn't it? I get tired of hearing all this recruiting crap. Coaching can be, and in our case, is, a very real problem

Gill mentioned at 3/4 time on TV what a lousy game it was...he would have expanded had he not been interrupted. Neither team deserved the air time, but when North looked appalling, we asked them to hold our beer. I fear they'll come down heavy on us in future considerations.

Do we have a game plan? It had escaped my notice.

Thank goodness... someone else who believes you should treat men as MEN - tell it like it is... These namby-pamby spoon-fed morons would not get a game in a decent club yet here we are asking people to 'get your halo on!" What the f*** does that actually mean? What do we have to "believe" in? We've been loyal for more than 20 years now and where has that got us..? Pelcin had a "plan" to follow that would deliver us a flag THIS year... we are further away from it when he joined us! Ever wonder WHY we can't attract A-Graders from other clubs? Today is why! Time to clear the decks! Now there's a Plan!
