Swans delist Michael Talia n Brandon Jack
Any good?

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

The guy who was in the Hector the cat suit died after getting hit by a car.
Oh BTW, this is the time of the year where (insert name of dud) has been delisted, are we interested threads!

Aldous Huxley and CS Lewis died the exact same day, but both were completely overshadowed by another death that same day....who was it?

This coincidence served as the basis for Peter Kreeft's book Between Heaven and Hell: A Dialog Somewhere Beyond Death with John F. Kennedy, C. S. Lewis, & Aldous Huxley, which imagines a conversation among the three men taking place in Purgatory following their deathsfugazi wrote:Aldous Huxley and CS Lewis died the exact same day, but both were completely overshadowed by another death that same day....who was it?
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Champagne comedy. More like Spumante comedy. Every year three in the country will be pissing themselves at this bit or originality.Wayne42 wrote:Is it true, Talia's nick name is Geni ?
I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

Talia is too good to be ignored - but then if you mess up at the Swans, knowing the post Richards/Grundy era meant you had a huge opportunity...
Rookie draft at best.

You are confusing him with his brother, he's a dud.evertonfc wrote:Talia is too good to be ignored - but then if you mess up at the Swans, knowing the post Richards/Grundy era meant you had a huge opportunity...

Let's take them both as DB rookies.
They bother qualify as Dud brother rookies.
Pass!

Re: Swans delist Michael Talia n Brandon Jack
Wasn't he the Talia brother who placed a bet on his own team, or something to do with betting on AFL matches? It would be buyer beware IMHO.Joffa Burns wrote:You are confusing him with his brother, he's a dud.evertonfc wrote:Talia is too good to be ignored - but then if you mess up at the Swans, knowing the post Richards/Grundy era meant you had a huge opportunity...

Pretty sure it was insider trading with his brother before last seasons prelim when he was at the Dogs and then some recreational powder sniffing.
May well have the triple with gambling.

Re: Swans delist Michael Talia n Brandon Jack
That's right JB, it was the giving his brother info & the sniffing, I knew it was some unsavoury traits he had, just couldn't correctly recall them. With that sort of history, he's possibly dumb enough to be a gambler as wellJoffa Burns wrote:Pretty sure it was insider trading with his brother before last seasons prelim when he was at the Dogs and then some recreational powder sniffing.

Talia's a dud. He's been at 2 clubs already and is no good. Trading on his brother's name. Don't do it Saints!!
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Re: Swans delist Michael Talia n Brandon Jack
There is a whiff of this about him. David Kernahan anyone? Anthony Harvey? Xavier Richards? All could play a bit but their biggest asset was their surname. We need guns, not list cloggers and these two certainly qualify in the latter category.Jacks Back wrote:Talia's a dud. He's been at 2 clubs already and is no good. Trading on his brother's name. "Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

You mean fringe players like Membrey, Bruce, and Steele?spert wrote:The Saints really need to be tough and smart with recruiting, and not just grab fringe players.

I think he means like Weller, Roberton, Savage, Longer, Stevens and Brown. No chance of any of them getting into our best 22, eh?Life Long Saint wrote:You mean fringe players like Membrey, Bruce, and Steele?spert wrote:The Saints really need to be tough and smart with recruiting, and not just grab fringe players.
Let's be honest. Polishing up some of the AFL's unwanted goods in the 21-26 age bracket (often for little or no cost) has covered up the fact that we are unbelievably bad at drafting and/or developing players from scratch.
Of course we want A-grade players, but you've got to find value. Trust me, there's plenty of it about.
